Background / History

While patrolling near a mall, Lingling sensed a suspicious Calamity reaction and followed it into the building. The signal vanished after entering an elevator, leaving her lost in the underground parking garage; too embarrassed to ask the security guard for directions, she contacted Su Xi for help instead 142.

She subsequently helped investigate the reaction, which proved to be a Lesser Calamity concealed in a hotpot restaurant's slop bucket. Although crowds overwhelm her, she accepted an outside role during the evacuation, using her phone to discourage people from returning toward the restaurant's back kitchen 143 144.

Lingling gradually became close with Su Xi, whose direct and unceremonious manner makes her feel more at ease than most people. She also befriended Lin Xi, whom she tutors and spends time with alongside Su Xi 145 148 176.
