Fox Fox's Leisurely Daily Life

The night sky over Rongcheng was packed with Stars.

There was no moon tonight. Without moonlight to obscure them, the stars glittered brilliantly, silently illuminating the entire city.

But it was not merely starlight that blanketed Rongcheng. There was also a piercing alarm:

At the same time, in a park somewhere in Hanjiang District.

The streets were eerily quiet. The once-lively park and surrounding roads were now completely deserted, vehicles scattered haphazardly around the area. The nearby buildings were dark as well, with no trace of pedestrians.

Apart from the heavy impacts continuously echoing from the park, as if conveying some horrifying truth,

even the Hero Association outposts that should have been stationed nearby had withdrawn long ago. No one dared remain in this place for even a second longer—

A soft, cheerful hum drifted from an open area in the park.

The tiny golden foxgirl sat beside the dining table, delicately sampling a plate of cookies, while her fox ears obediently turned toward the source of the stir-frying sounds.

A handful of chopped bok choy was tossed into the pan and mixed with barbecue bacon sausages cut into chunks. The catgirl deftly grabbed her spatula and stir-fried with force, her tail hooking a bottle of seasoning from the side and sprinkling a pinch of salt and MSG into the pan before tossing in several crushed dried chilies.

The spatula flew, the sauce reduced over high heat, and several steaming plates of barbecue fried rice were deliciously served.
