Chai Boyuan, chief disciple of Arhat Hall's Second Branch.

Versus

Yuan Mingzhi, disciple of Prajna Hall's First Branch.

Two more bald monks stepped onto the arena and cupped their fists to each other.

"I am Chai Boyuan, chief disciple of Arhat Hall's Second Branch. Please enlighten me!"

"I am Yuan Mingzhi, disciple of Prajna Hall's First Branch. Please enlighten me!"

Yuan Mingzhi stood proudly in the arena, utterly unmoved, his face full of disdain. He seemed to look down on Chai Boyuan, the chief disciple of Arhat Hall's Second Branch, and let him make the first move.

Chai Boyuan instantly flew into a rage. "You go too far!"

His true qi then erupted throughout his body. In a furious attack, he unleashed the first move of the Shaolin Wind Cloud Hand, "Wind Cloud." Both hands shot out fiercely, their palm force sweeping like a gale scattering clouds as countless phantom hand seals flooded toward Yuan Mingzhi.

Yuan Mingzhi smiled faintly. "That's all you've got? Just what I'd expect from Arhat Hall!"

With a cold sneer, Yuan Mingzhi calmly used the first move of the Shaolin Cotton Palm, "Unbroken." Streams of continuous true qi slowly gathered in his palms before he struck out with a sheet of palm shadows, meeting the hand seals head-on.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of sonic booms rang out as palms and hands collided. The two exchanged moves wildly, but Chai Boyuan ultimately fell short in skill. A single palm strike sent him stumbling back seven or eight steps, leaving both his hands numb and aching.

Chai Boyuan stared gravely at Yuan Mingzhi. His Cotton Palm is powerful and fierce. Even my Wind Cloud Hand was numbed by his force. He really is formidable!

"Hehe! Senior Brother Chai! What's wrong? Can't go on?"

"Hmph! Isn't it too early to say I've lost, Junior Brother Yuan?"

"Hehe! Senior Brother Chai! I've trained my Cotton Palm to the point where I can crush a huge boulder into powder with a casual grip. Do you still think you can be my opponent?"

Chai Boyuan's face darkened. He shouted coldly, "It won't be so easy for you to defeat me!"

With that, he attacked at once, using the second move of the Shaolin Wind Cloud Hand, "Boundless." His hands surged out violently as streams of true qi transformed into boundless mist like wind and clouds. The mist formed a skyful of hand seals that charged furiously toward Yuan Mingzhi.

Seeing the incoming attack, Yuan Mingzhi sneered. His true qi erupted in full, releasing the aura of a second-rate expert.

He unleashed the second move of the Shaolin Cotton Palm with all his strength, "Profound." Dense, fierce true qi slowly gathered in his palms. With a sweep of both hands, he formed a solid and powerful defensive millstone, blocking the skyful of hand seals head-on.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The hand seals hammered madly against the millstone, producing muffled, low explosions. Chai Boyuan's palms felt as though they were striking a thick steel plate, and a powerful rebounding force came with it.

Pain shot through both his hands as they broke apart. He spat out a mouthful of blood and was blasted out of the arena!

"Y-you're a second-rate expert!!!"

The moment he finished speaking, he fainted and was carried away!

"What a complete joke! Other than Golden Arhat, who I think highly of, everyone else in Arhat Hall is trash in my eyes!"

The Arhat Hall members below fell silent, unable to refute him. Their morale plummeted, and everyone became dispirited.

The Prajna Hall Chief secretly rejoiced. "Mingzhi! Do not be so rude! Get down here at once!"

"Yes, Hall Chief Elder!"

"My apologies, everyone! That disciple lacks discipline. I will certainly discipline him more strictly in the future. Please forgive him!"

The Arhat Hall Leader's face darkened as he snorted. "You've gained an advantage and still pretend to be virtuous!"

Just then, a voice suddenly rang out. "Since you're so damn cocky, how about fighting me in the next match?"

At the sudden voice, everyone turned to look, wanting to see who was bold enough to speak so arrogantly.

There was no need to say it—the figure was definitely Li Changfeng!
