Bluffing

The two Blood Demon Sect elders' faces darkened at the news. Leng Xue's slash had indeed made them deeply wary, while Li Changfeng, that sinister fellow, would strike them with a heavy blow from time to time, draining a great deal of their vitality.

Seeing their hesitation, Emotionless's eyes lit up slightly. He continued, "There's one more thing I forgot to tell you. Before I came, I secretly called for quite a few reinforcements. So much time has passed already—they should be arriving very soon!"

Emotionless's words made the two Blood Demon Sect elders' eyelids twitch, but they did not fully believe him. This could very well be a bluff, leaving them deeply conflicted.

A quarter of an hour later.

Seeing this, Emotionless smiled faintly. "Heh heh! Have you made up your minds? Time passes quickly. My reinforcements will probably be here very soon!"

The two Blood Demon Sect elders glared at Emotionless with hatred and gritted their teeth. "We're leaving!"

With that, the Blood Demon Sect elders led their remaining men away in a blur of speed, vanishing without a trace.

Leng Xue and Li Changfeng watched them leave, then slowly retreated with the others. Only after withdrawing three li and seeing that no one was pursuing them did they finally let out a sigh of relief.

Leng Xue and Li Changfeng immediately spat out blood. They had both suffered serious injuries in the previous battle, yet they had continued forcing themselves to fight. Their wounds had worsened, and only now, after putting some distance between themselves and their enemies, could they no longer suppress them.

Emotionless and the others' expressions changed slightly. "Brother Leng! Brother Li! Are you two all right?"
