"Alright, this is the spot." Edward stopped in a relatively open clearing.

He looked at Carrie. "Last time, you said you could move a fire hydrant. Today, let's try something heavier. See that rock?"

He pointed at a massive boulder half a person's height away in the distance. It sprawled across the ground like a sleeping beast, and looked to weigh at least several hundred kilograms.

Carrie's face went pale. "Th... that's too big."

Carrie took a deep breath, closed her eyes as Edward had shown her, and stretched out a hand toward the boulder.

As he spoke, he raised his hand as well.

Carrie stared, dumbfounded. This had completely exceeded the limits of her understanding.

"Alright, time for some resistance training." Edward set the boulder down and turned to Lily, who was poking an anthill with a twig nearby. "Lily, stop playing. Time to work."

"Coming!" Lily tossed aside the twig, clapped her little hands, and ran over eagerly. "Big brother, what kind do you want? Scary? Gross? Or the kind that makes people wet themselves?"

Carrie was completely confused.

Ignoring Lily's wild suggestions, Edward said to Carrie, "In real combat, enemies won't give you time to communicate slowly. You need to stay focused under pressure.

The moment he finished speaking, the scene before Carrie suddenly changed.

The quiet forest vanished, replaced by the school hallway filled with mocking laughter and malicious stares.

Chris and Tina, who had bullied her at the last dance, approached with a group of people behind them, their faces twisted as they hurled the cruelest insults at her.

"Ah!" Carrie instinctively took a step back, her deepest fear instantly dragged to the surface.

"It's only an illusion! Focus, Carrie!" Edward's voice exploded beside her ears like thunder.

Carrie bit down hard on her tongue, and the pain cleared her mind somewhat. She knew it was fake, but the bone-deep fear felt utterly real.

She forced herself to stop looking at those twisted faces and focused all her mental power on the boulder.

Boom!

A burst of uncontrolled Telekinesis erupted. Instead of hitting the boulder, it snapped a small tree beside it in half.

"Not bad. At least you got a reaction." Edward's voice held approval. "Again!"

Lily waved her little hand, and the illusion changed again. This time, countless slick tentacles burst from the ground, dripping foul-smelling fluid as they swept toward Carrie from all directions.

Carrie's face went deathly pale. Screaming, she dodged frantically, her mental power becoming a chaotic mess in her panic.

She wildly controlled nearby pebbles and broken branches, sending them flying at the illusions like scattered blossoms, but it did little good.

"Control it! Control your power! Don't waste it on useless things! You only have one target!" Edward calmly directed her from the side like a strict instructor.

Amid shock after shock and failure after failure, Carrie gradually began to adapt.

She discovered that the more afraid she was, the more uncontrollable her power became. But when she forced herself to calm down, shifted her attention away from the terrifying illusions, and focused only on that one real target, her Telekinesis became more concentrated and powerful than ever before.

Finally, when Lily created the illusion of a roaring giant spider, Carrie no longer dodged.

She stood her ground, her eyes locked on the distant boulder as she turned all her fear, anger, and resentment into the purest energy.

She had succeeded.

Edward looked at the clearing, now a complete mess from the aftershock of Carrie's Telekinesis, smiled helplessly, and rubbed Lily's head.
