"What are you doing?"
Chatot learned quickly. As soon as Hu Liena finished speaking, it repeated the question from the windowsill.
Pancham glared at it.
Why ask that now?!
The apron on the floor was tangled around the bowls, the bottom of one bowl pinned down a strap, and the other end of that strap was held in Zorua's mouth. Worse still, it was wearing Xia Che's appearance, so what Hu Liena saw upon entering was Boss Xia crouching amid a pile of soft cloth, head lowered as he held an apron strap between his teeth.
And he looked very serious about it.
Hu Liena braced herself against the doorframe, the corners of her mouth slowly curving upward.
Pancham quickly raised a paw, signaling for her to wait. It lifted the wooden bowl in front of it, intending to pull out the corner of the cloth pinned beneath it first. But as soon as it raised the bowl, another one rolled along the apron to its feet.
Thunk.
Zorua hurriedly lowered its head to stop it.
Fake Xia Che's entire face disappeared into the apron.
Hu Liena finally could not hold it in anymore.
"Let go of it first!"
Zorua froze, then opened its mouth as instructed.
Pancham's paws suddenly felt lighter, and it sat back while clutching the apron. It looked at the cloth, then at the wooden bowl that had finally been freed, its expression somewhat blank.
It just had to let go?
Hu Liena crouched down and untangled the strap caught on the edge of the tray.
"Aunt Ding asked you to fold aprons?"
Pancham nodded, immediately producing a neatly folded one from behind its back and presenting it to her.
