Zorua is a small black-and-gray fox-like Pokémon with four paws, a dark tail, and a distinctive tuft of red fur on its forehead. 3 78

Personality

Zorua is playful, mischievous, and highly food-motivated, especially where roasted Berries are concerned. Its pranks range from fake tickets and duplicated dinner seats to disguising itself as Xia Che; it regularly pushes boundaries, but usually retreats when corrected. 3 19 25 76

Despite this mischief, Zorua understands agreements and responds to clear, respectful communication. It honored the rest-card arrangement after escaping the academy guards, returned to Indeedee rather than exploiting the confusion, and obeyed Xia Che's rules during the underground exploration. 3 7

It is also easily embarrassed when its imitations fail, yet does not give up. After being exposed while impersonating Xia Che, it resumed practicing his mannerisms and later attempted to help Pancham with household chores. 76 78

Illusion

Zorua can create visual disguises of itself, other people, and objects. Its transformations can copy appearances, voices, clothing, posture, and habitual gestures after observation. 3 76

• Eevee's selection test — Zorua transforms into Hu Liena again so Eevee can distinguish the real woman. Eevee exposes the hidden tail and protects Zorua from a falling mirror. 4
• Underground Defense Layer — Zorua sneaks into the basement exploration, then is flattened by Metagross's gravity test and formally flagged as an unauthorized entrant despite attempting to disguise itself as Indeedee. 7 8
