Tonight's scene was a nostalgic flashback to their school days.
Director Chen arranged for Xie Ran to appear in the class as a transfer student.
It had been morning at first, but in the blink of an eye, night had fallen.
With the college entrance exams approaching, evening study sessions ran late.
Seated beside Li Sifan, Xie Ran cautiously leaned over. "Hey, could you come to the restroom with me? I just transferred here, so I don't really know my way around."
"What's that got to do with me?" Li Sifan refused outright. "Go ask whoever you want. Just leave me alone!"
The words had barely left his mouth when Director Chen sprang to his feet, planted a hand on his hip, and pointed at him.
"Li Sifan, can you please follow the script?!"
"You turn down everything! How are we supposed to film this?"
"Do you want everyone else gone so it's just you and Luo Mingyu?"
"And all of us sitting around watching you two fall in love?!"
Li Sifan said nothing.
If we could do that...
I wouldn't exactly object.
"If you keep ignoring the script, I'm calling your sister!" Director Chen threatened.
Li Sifan remained silent.
Hah. Is that your only trick?!
Can't you try something else?!
You think I'm actually scared?!
Seeing no response, Director Chen grabbed his phone and started to make the call. Li Sifan immediately spoke up. "It's just following the script, right? I'll do another take. Happy?"
With that, he plopped back into his seat.
Beside him, Xie Ran sneered inwardly. You wouldn't do it the easy way, so you had to be forced!
"Evening study session, scene two. Action!" Director Chen called.
Xie Ran immediately put on a fawning smile. "Hey, could you come to the restroom with me?"
"Sure,"
