History
Fanged Charge was originally one of four skills possessed by a Level 3 Iron Bristle Wild Boar, alongside Ambush, Gluttonous Recovery, and Potential Stimulation. Gan Ming identified it as the boar's passive charged-attack skill during their first battle. The boar's triggered charge dealt 19 damage to him during the fight. 11
After killing the boar, Gan Ming attempted Soul Snatch three times. The first two attempts failed; the third stole Fanged Charge and made it his first combat skill. 11 12
The skill immediately changed Gan Ming's combat effectiveness against high-defense targets. He used its attack rhythm to defeat a Withered Wood Treant in under two minutes, cycling three slashes, a charged strike, and retreating while waiting for control-skill cooldowns. 13
Repeated duplicate acquisitions from Iron Bristle Wild Boars converted into Soul Snatch proficiency, raising both Soul Snatch and Fanged Charge's enhancement level over time. 13 14 25 28
Abilities & Skills
Charged Attack Passive
Fanged Charge automatically converts a regular attack in its attack cycle into a stronger charged strike. It requires neither mana nor a manual activation.
- At its base state, the third attack after two normal attacks deals 150% Physical Damage. 12
- At +4, its listed multiplier rises to 210% Physical Damage. 23
- At +6, its listed multiplier rises to 240% Physical Damage. 28
- At +7, its listed multiplier rises to 285% Physical Damage. 48
- It is particularly effective against high-defense opponents, allowing Gan Ming to break through the Withered Wood Treant's defenses. 13
- It can be coordinated with Ambush's stun window: Gan Ming could land three slashes during the stun, with Fanged Charge triggering on the third strike. 14
- When dual-wielding, Gan Ming can synchronize charged attacks from both weapons; with Lock-On +7, one such critical strike dealt 411 damage to a Dark-Hole Spider. 50
Notable Uses
- Against the Withered Wood Treant — Gan Ming used Fanged Charge as the main damage tool in a repeated slash-and-retreat rhythm, splitting the treant's trunk with a charged final blow. 13
- Against Iron Bristle Wild Boars — Charged strikes outpaced the boars' regenerative passives and enabled Gan Ming to defeat two opponents that he had previously avoided. 13
- Against Rustclaw Hounds — Fanged Charge +4 dealt 155–165 damage strikes, helping Gan Ming kill a Level 11 hound in under a minute. 24
- Against the Grayrock Giant Lizard — Gan Ming combined Rotten Root Entanglement, Ambush, and Fanged Charge to exploit gaps between the lizard's scales. 27
- Against Dark-Hole Spiders — Fanged Charge +7 formed the core of Gan Ming's dual-wield burst sequence in Tunnel Zone No. 7. 50
