Make a Move

Lin Dong returned home as night fully descended. A crescent moon hung slanted at the edge of the sky, surrounded by twinkling stars.

Three months had passed since the apocalypse began. Without human pollution, the environment had improved considerably. Looking up, one could see a river of stars.

Several meteors streaked across the night sky.

The area around Lin Dong's apartment building was quiet. Nothing much was happening.

In his spare time, Lin Dong took out his phone to gather intelligence and see what had happened recently.

"Jinjiang City Shelter has been breached by an unidentified organism, suspected to be a parasitic monster. It can lay eggs inside human bodies, use flesh and blood as nourishment, and burst out of the host once mature."

"Is the first piece of news really this explosive?"

Lin Dong was reading an announcement issued by the Official Shelter.

There were also several photos beneath the announcement.

Several researchers in white lab coats lay sprawled on the ground, covered in blood, their abdomens torn open by large holes. Their deaths were extraordinarily gruesome.

There was also plenty of slime around the corpses, mixed with blood and nauseating to look at.

"An Alien, huh..."

Lin Dong did not feel much about it. He only thought the thing was wasting "food"... It could not even eat properly...

There were many comments beneath the announcement. Most were mourning the dead, with an even stronger sense of shared dread.

As the apocalypse progressed, all kinds of monsters emerged one after another.
