Flared Ears couldn't help but mock him.
That big-headed fellow was merely a Zombie King on the outskirts of the provincial capital, and he wasn't all that strong.
Just like Lin Dong, when the edges of his territory were harassed, he rarely acted personally and usually left it to his underlings.
At that moment, another Zombie Beast emerged from behind the Big-Head Zombie King. It resembled a wolf, black and white in color, except its fur was bald in patches, its body was covered in bloodstains, and its mouthful of sharp fangs made it look exceptionally vicious.
Yet there was an inexplicably intelligent gleam in its eyes.
"A Husky?"
Flared Ears recognized it immediately. His eyes widened in surprise. Clearly, the howling from the forest earlier hadn't been a wolf's howl at all, but a Husky's bark.

Watching the zombies chase down and slaughter humans, the zombie Husky let out another excited cry that echoed through the night sky for a long while.
"So it was a dog. I wondered what it was," Shrimp Chaser said.
"Yeah, looks like they aren't that strong either."
Locomotive felt somewhat relieved.
But just then, after howling, the Husky's nose began to twitch. It sniffed at the ground as if it had caught an unusual scent.
Then it bared its fangs, a low growl rumbling from its throat as intense hostility radiated from it.
"Hm?"
The Big-Head Zombie King noticed that something was off and grew curious. What was going on?
He looked in the direction the Husky was glaring at and saw four heads peeking over the edge of a large dirt pit in the distance, all staring straight at them.
The four zombies noticed his gaze and quickly ducked back down.
