Barton spoke through tightly clenched fangs.
"Too far?"
Blood Fiend was just as furious. This went beyond too far-it was downright bullying zombies...
Even the otherworldly monsters he had killed had all been taken by Lin Dong.
Now, not only Barton but Blood Fiend too wanted to give him a couple of solid punches.
But Lin Dong was killing otherworldly monsters and had earned the zombies' trust. Turning against him now would be hard to justify.
"Forget it. Let's keep hunting Otherworlders."
After weighing it up, Blood Fiend swallowed his anger.
Barton could hardly say anything more, but he felt this wasn't over. Sooner or later, he would get even. Besides, hunting down crystal cores now might not even matter. It all depended on who came out on top in the end...
Led by the three members of the Undead Race, the Corpse-Eating Beasts suffered one defeat after another. All they could do was be slaughtered.
The zombie tide fighting alongside Lin Dong kept growing, since it was relatively safe there. The Corpse-Eating Beasts couldn't get anywhere near them.
Behind Blood Fiend and Barton, things were much quieter.
Watching the excited zombie tide slaughter its way forward, Blood Fiend felt a little frustrated again.
"Who's the Eastern Province Overlord here, anyway?"
Before long, the vast zombie tide finally charged up the steep slope. Realizing they were outmatched, the Corpse-Eating Beasts seemed to receive some command and began retreating in unison.
But almost all their main forces had already been killed. Seeing that only a few scraps and defeated stragglers remained, Lin Dong didn't pursue them.
The once-ferocious Corpse-Eating Beasts fled in panic, disappearing into the darkness moments later.
"Roar-"
The zombies let out earth-shaking roars, their faces alight with excitement.
It marked another victory.
