A Man's Romance

When he opened his eyes again, he was already in the New World.

This was the original teleportation point. In theory, someone should have been guarding it, but now it was completely silent, without a single person in sight.

Although it was strange, this was Chaldea's main base in the New World. Its defenses were even tighter than Chaldea's on Earth, so he did not dwell on it.

The room's soundproofing was too good. The moment he opened the door, noisy shouts and exhilarating cheers poured into his ears.

The distant streets were packed with traffic, seemingly hosting some sort of festival parade. No wonder the place was empty—everyone had gathered in the square.

The three of them looked around, unsure what was happening. It did not seem to be any particular holiday, but with their curiosity piqued, they instinctively headed toward the square.

Then a massive object suddenly came into view. It appeared to be a statue, but it was covered by a large cloth.

The statue-like object stood around thirty meters tall in the center of the square, surrounded by Chaldea staff and ordinary citizens.

Just as he began wondering whether they had erected a statue in his honor, Olga Marie's voice suddenly rang out from the loudspeakers in the square.

Olga Marie: "People of the New World, this is something we once dreamed of as children, something we once believed could never be achieved."

"But today, we succeeded. We overcame countless difficulties and fulfilled our old dream. Humanity is about to enter a new era—the age of space."

After Olga Marie's half-hour speech ended, the red cloth covering the statue was pulled away.

Yuan Shikai's eyes widened because it was not some so-called statue at all, but a humanoid mech.

Its shape resembled the Gundams from anime
