Mordred's way of socializing at Hogwarts was rather different from that of normal students.
Normal students made friends by attending classes together, eating together, and doing homework together.
Mordred made friends by causing trouble together, pulling pranks together, and getting caught together.
The first group she hit it off with was the Weasley twins and their little circle.
Zhang Wen was not at all surprised by how that group had come together.
Two of Hogwarts' most restless troublemaking Demons, plus a rebellious heir to the King of Knights from Britain who had "causing trouble" written into her genes—they were bound to end up together sooner or later.
On the day it all blew up, Zhang Wen had just left the academic affairs office.
He had only reached the corner of the corridor when he heard a burst of Demon-like wailing and howling ahead.
Then came a very familiar voice, somewhere between laughter and bristling rage:
"Say that again?!"
Zhang Wen quickened his pace.
As he rounded the corner, he saw Mordred, Fred, and George standing in a row in the west corridor on the third floor, looking up at a figure hanging in midair.
Peeves the Demon.
Hogwarts' curse-level prank expert.
Usually, that old fellow was the one picking on students. Yet today, he was the one hanging in midair, his face red and his hair standing on end with fury.
A closer look revealed that Peeves the Demon's legs were tied with a rope, the other end of which had been secured outside the window.
And beneath him—
Were the remnants of Fred and George's carefully developed mixture of Sticky Bottom Powder and colored slime.
