Organization

• Original seven peaks: Tianshu, Tianhua, Tianyin, Yuntai, Chaoyang, Luoyan, and Luofu. Each functioned as a faction under its own Peak Master; Tianshu was the main peak 5.
• Recruitment: Tianshu rarely recruited disciples. The other six peaks sought mortals with spiritual roots every three to five years 5.
• Elder rank: A disciple who reached Foundation Establishment was automatically promoted to elder and could change their affiliated peak once 161.
• Additional peaks: Ren Yunzong announced plans for an eighth peak, with the Seven Peaks Grand Competition champion as its prospective master. After the sect was rebuilt, the original Eighth Peak was renamed Twelve Peaks 120 3470.

History

The sect was founded by Venerable Yun Ge, whose Supreme Dual Spiritual Root remained a rarity in its history 3. Its original stronghold lay on the outskirts of the Cangshan Mountain Range, where seven principal peaks rose among a much larger mountain complex 5.

Under Sect Master Ren Yunzong, the sect pursued expansion through disciple recruitment, competition, and access to cultivation resources 120 161. It suffered a devastating attack at its Cangshan stronghold: Su Shi’er returned to find the peaks burning and numerous disciples and elders dead 292.

Ren Yunzong later led plans to rebuild the sect, recruit disciples, and confront evil spirits and ghost cultivators. Within five years, the rebuilt Yun Ge Sect had become a significant force in southeastern Muyun Prefecture 1405 1406 1453. Its members helped defend the sect while Su Shi’er refined a Magic Treasure intended for use against the dark evil formation 1506 1525 1527.

The sect subsequently held a stronghold in Leizhou, where the White Bone Sect attacked its base and sought its sixth-grade Spirit Vein 2329 2332 2346. Its later headquarters occupied the former site of the Phantom Star Sect in Muyun Prefecture 2642.

Much later, Tiandu’s challenges threatened the sect’s last Spirit Stone Mine and led to the capture of disciples 3448 3449 3451. By Su Shi’er’s next documented visit, Zhu Hanwei and several Peak Masters had reportedly spent decades in seclusion. Great Elder Xu Qingfeng was handling sect affairs, while Tianshu Peak controlled much of its resources and decision-making 4037 4040.

Arts, Treasures and Defenses

• Yun Ge Nine Sword Art — A sect sword art awarded through the Seven Peaks Grand Competition; cultivation of it was otherwise restricted to Peak Masters 141 194.
• Yun Ge Nine Sword Formation — A Level Two formation deployed with nine to eighty-one flying swords. It is powerful but takes considerable time to deploy and retract 141.
• Qi Men and Dun Jia — The sect’s two supreme, sect-protecting treasures. Zhu Hanwei states that Qi Men was held by Shen Miaoyin, while Dun Jia was associated with Ren Yunzong and ordinarily remained at the sect 3512.
• Thousand Year Strike — A seventh-grade flying-sword Magic Treasure prepared by earlier sect ancestors through secret methods involving Earth Qi 329 2365.
• Sect Protection Formation — A defensive array that Zhu Hanwei believed could delay even a Tribulation Crossing-stage attacker. Xu Qingfeng later covertly altered its structure, linking the earth-vein power of seven peaks to a hidden hub beneath Tianshu Peak 3470 4046.

Notable Members

• Ren Yunzong — Sect Master who directed the sect’s expansion, rebuilding, and participation in the struggle against demons 120 1406 2362.
• Zhu Hanwei — Ren Yunzong’s disciple, groomed to manage sect affairs and later addressed as Sect Master 1407 3448 4037.
• Su Shi’er — Luofu Peak Master and longtime sect member who repeatedly aided its defense 305 1525 4037.
• Shen Miaoyin, Wan Jianyi, Lu Chenyuan, and Su Ye — Peak Masters named in the sect’s later leadership: Shen Miaoyin and then Su Ye at Tianyin, Wan Jianyi at Tianhua, and Lu Chenyuan at Luofu 4037.
• Xu Qingfeng — Great Elder who took temporary charge while Zhu Hanwei was in seclusion 4037 4040.
