[Eternal Silence's Remains: Simon Marshall.]
Klee Gler stared at the gaunt figure wrapped in burial shrouds. His heart leaped into his throat.
What kind of coincidence was this?
In just a few days, a First-Ring Warlock had run into a fugitive wanted by the Wizard Black Tower twice.
If Yin Ming hadn't warned him beforehand, he would have turned and fled—and drawn enough attention to get himself crushed.
Crack! Crack, crack!
Blue Soul Fire flickered in Keli's eye sockets. He sensed Eternal Silence's Remains' undisguised hostility.
Pale moonlight shimmered around his body, and his bones clattered with a grating sound.
"Don't move! Don't attack unless I'm dead!"
Yin Ming hurriedly stopped Keli.
Keli's body of Divine Jade Bone had reached the Near-God Realm in strength and defense. It might even have surpassed it.
But his weaknesses were just as obvious. He had no domain power, no sorcery, no Ancient God's divine power, and the mind of a child.
A weakness in one's rank was terrifying. Physique, magic, mental strength, sorcery, state of mind, even thought—leave any one shortcoming unaddressed, and someone of a lower rank might exploit it to kill you.
More importantly, if Keli fought Eternal Silence's Remains, Yin Ming wasn't sure he could survive the shockwaves. Klee Gler was as good as dead!
"Eek!"
Eternal Silence's Remains' burial shrouds turned pitch-black. Saturated with Undead Miasma, they were no less resilient than a god-tier body.
The weak controlling the strong—and a visibly flawed Near-God Realm powerhouse at that—was a phenomenon peculiar to the God Era.
His gaze swept over Keli, then returned to Yin Ming. His tone softened. "You can actually command him. Appearances really are deceiving... Are you a survivor of the God Era?"
