Background

Kakashi was already aware of Zhi Ge’s return to Konoha through his ANBU connections when Zhi Ge arrived at the Chūnin Exams registration site. He observed the chakra-less Uchiha while casually reading Make-Out Paradise. 4

He later became Zhi Ge’s teacher and Team 7 leader. Kakashi consistently places his students’ survival above his own, including against Sasori, Kakuzu, Hidan, and Tobi. 161 165 294 341

Sasori Decoy Incident
