Background

Lin Pangpang grew up in the same orphanage as Su Wuming. The two later shared a rented apartment, operated a night-market stall, and regularly sent money back to the orphanage after becoming able to support themselves. 8 11

His Food-Type talent made him valuable to powerful families, but he rejected offers that would not accept Su alongside him. Rather than pursue an easier future alone, he continued supporting Su through their stall work, cooking, cultivation, and combat preparations. 8 17 21

Initially, Pangpang regarded himself as a support practitioner who needed a powerful ally to rely on. Su instead treated his Blood Vitality Infusion as indispensable: as Su’s Rubber abilities and Eight Gates consumed more energy, Pangpang’s food and recovery support became essential. 26

Appearance

Pangpang normally presents himself as a harmless, obese Food-Type practitioner, a facade that encourages enemies to underestimate him.

  • Referred to as a “two-hundred-pound fatty” before activating his combat forms. 159
  • Opening the first three Eight Gates compresses his body, reducing his size while exposing a muscular physique. 159
  • Blood Boiling turns his skin crimson and releases blood-colored steam, visually resembling Su Wuming’s Second Gear. 159
  • Can manifest blood-energy wings for aerial movement. 254
  • His Giant Form enlarges him to a size comparable to Ji Boxiao’s Mechanical Troll. 183
  • Can conceal his true cultivation and return to an apparently harmless Silver One-Star appearance. 160

Personality

Pangpang is fiercely loyal to Su Wuming, but his support is rarely quiet or sentimental. He complains about money, food costs, and Su’s reckless plans, yet repeatedly follows him into dangerous situations and takes initiative when Su is absent. 4 21 163 185

He has a teasing, opportunistic sense of humor. He frequently steals finishing blows, gives grandiose names to his attacks, and treats dangerous victories with casual swagger. 70 81 85 His outwardly comic demeanor conceals a practical strategist who can assess political leverage, manipulate factions, and identify solutions Su overlooks. 187 188 297

In battle, Pangpang is ruthless. He protects allies without hesitation, but shows little mercy toward enemies, using techniques that leave opponents reduced to skeletons or punching directly through their bodies. 158 160 264

Abilities & Skills

Blood Vitality Infusion

Pangpang’s original Food-Type ability infuses food with blood vitality, producing high-energy meals that restore and strengthen physical fighters.

  • Creates Blood Vitality–enhanced sausages, chicken legs, and other food that can rapidly restore Su Wuming’s stamina and injuries. 4 17 21
  • Can apply blood vitality directly to injured people, though it requires precise control and restores vitality rather than repairing severe structural damage such as crushed bones. 29
  • His Bronze-rank Blood Vitality Flourishing increases the potency of his food and recovery effects. 77
  • His abundant blood vitality makes him unusually attractive to demonic beasts. 71

Blood Boiling and Blood-Force Expansion

Pangpang evolved beyond a conventional Food-Type support path by merging his cultivation with his blood vitality.

  • Blood Boiling enhances his strength, speed, and explosive output; its improved form imitates Su Wuming’s Second Gear. 142 159
  • Blood-Force Expansion is his Golden-rank talent, allowing him to enlarge himself or buff allies’ physical power. 185 205
  • Can create a Blood-Dripping Warhammer by weaponizing his blood-force through the Golden Heart’s Spirit Infusion. 183
  • Can regenerate depleted blood-force with his Golden Heart, making him exceptionally difficult to exhaust or kill. 205
  • Can form blood-energy wings, enabling rapid aerial charges. 254

Armament Haki and Flowing Sakura

Pangpang became Su Wuming’s principal test subject for Armament Haki scrolls and eventually developed his own blood-infused variation.

  • Activating an Armament Haki scroll blackens his fist, improves striking power, and allows him to crush elemental attacks such as fireballs. 66
  • Even after consuming ten Super Technique Scrolls, he initially showed no obvious comprehension of Haki cultivation. 81
  • Later fuses Armament Haki with his endlessly circulating blood vitality and independently comprehends Flowing Sakura. 142
  • Uses Flowing Sakura to destroy a spatial black hole, break corrosive Blood Sacrifice techniques, and extinguish otherwise persistent Demonflame. 142 159 268
  • His Flowing Sakura is crimson and can manifest as petal-like energy around his fists. 254

Eight Gates

Su Wuming taught Pangpang the Eight Gates because Pangpang’s immense vitality makes him especially suited to endure their cost.

  • Can open the Opening Gate, Rest Gate, and Life Gate simultaneously; three gates are stated to be his Silver-rank limit. 159
  • The Gates compensate for his former lack of agility, allowing him to overwhelm Wind-Type speed practitioners. 159
  • Uses the Third Gate and One-Man Front Lotus to break enemy formations while leading the Beast Legion. 168
  • At Gold Rank, opens the first three gates while wielding his Blood-Dripping Warhammer against the Eight-Branched Serpent. 183

Golden Heart

Pangpang acquires and integrates a Golden Heart as a second heart and additional Source Dao Meridian.

  • The Golden Heart gives him a second source of life force and supports rapid recovery after severe blood-force depletion. 171 205
  • Its Spirit Infusion can be applied to Pangpang’s blood-force; he keeps its potential metal-control ability hidden from others. 183
  • Can forcibly assimilate and interrogate captured enemies. 260
  • Enables him to alter his aura, conceal his cultivation, and transform his appearance for infiltration. 160 220 297

Combat Techniques

  • Meatball Crash — A blood vitality- and Armament Haki-enhanced punch that launches multiple opponents with its shockwave. 85
  • Reverse Lotus — A rapid palm barrage used with Flowing Sakura to tear apart a corrosive blood tornado. 159
  • One-Man Front Lotus — A diving, cannonball-like impact technique used to shatter enemy formations. 168
  • Meteorfall — Aerial strike performed alongside Su Wuming’s Rubber Grizzly Gun against the Eight-Branched Serpent. 186
  • Bone-and-Flesh Separation Art / Burial of Flowers — A brutal killing technique that strips an opponent down to a skeleton. 160 258

Moonwalk

Pangpang is one of the few people known to have mastered Moonwalk without Su Wuming’s system assistance, owing to his unusual talent and comprehension. 158

Equipment

  • Spiked club — A weapon originally wielded by a Resentful Ghost; Pangpang coats it in Armament Haki and uses it for armor-piercing strikes. 102
  • Heavenly Cluster Clouds Sword — Retrieved from the Eight-Branched Serpent and entrusted to Pangpang, though he is unable to activate it. 185 189
  • Golden Heart — Integrated as Pangpang’s second heart and source of Spirit Infusion, recovery, concealment, and assimilation abilities. 183 205 260

Relationships

  • Su Wuming — Orphanage brother, closest partner, and fellow combatant. Pangpang provides food, recovery, strategy, and hidden combat power; Su trusts him to fight independently and repeatedly relies on his support. 2 8 158 187
  • Qin Ming — Beast Legion comrade. Pangpang protects Qin during retreats and operates alongside him in major battles. 71 94 158
  • Tu Tu — Fellow orphanage child and protector. Tu Tu’s demonic incarnation repeatedly appears when Pangpang or Su face mortal danger. 113 185
  • Niu Niu — Fellow orphanage child transformed into an Inferno Demon Behemoth; Pangpang immediately recognizes and reunites with him. 266
  • Zhao Yuanyuan — Eastern Radiance Academy combat-class instructor whom Pangpang repeatedly seeks out; Su suspects Pangpang has personal motives, while Zhao shows concern for him. 250 253 256
  • Bai Yao — Political ally and financier connected to Pangpang’s plan to establish the Hundred Beasts Monster Hunters’ Office. 187 188
  • Yan Liang — Target of Pangpang’s infiltration schemes. Pangpang later adopts Luo Yan’s appearance to get close to Yan Liang and locate his laboratory. 185 297

Story Role and Major Arcs

Su Wuming’s Food and Recovery Partner

Pangpang first becomes central to Su’s survival when his Blood Vitality Infusion supplies the spiritual-energy food required to fuel Su’s Rubber Sacred Body and lifespan-consuming techniques. He runs their stall alone while Su hunts monsters, prepares daily rations, and repeatedly heals Su after battles. 4 17 21

Beast Legion’s “Food-Type” Vanguard

After gaining Armament Haki, Pangpang stops functioning as rear-line support. He kills a Silver-Tier Salamander Battle General with one punch, steals Li Yuanba’s finishing blow during the ranking battle, and becomes known as a Food-Type practitioner with overwhelming damage output. 70 80 81 85

Hidden Strength Against the Hell Guild

Pangpang secretly reaches Five-Star Silver Rank and reveals his real strength when three Hell Guild assassins target him. He kills one immediately, then uses three Eight Gates, Blood Boiling, Flowing Sakura, and Reverse Lotus to overwhelm the remaining attackers before concealing his cultivation again. 158 159 160

Golden Heart and the Calamity God Crisis

After receiving the Golden Heart, Pangpang becomes a Gold-rank combatant capable of Giant Form, blood-force weaponization, and sustained high-output fighting. He helps Su Wuming interfere in the battle between Tu Tu’s demon god incarnation and the Eight-Branched Serpent, including the Meteorfall ambush that helps force the serpent into Demonflame Hell. 183 185 186

Strategist of the Hundred Beasts Monster Hunters’ Office

When Su Wuming is politically isolated in Hangzhou, Pangpang identifies Bai Yao, Yan Liang, and the Fallen Blossoms Society as leverage for establishing a new force. His plan leads to the creation of the Hundred Beasts Monster Hunters’ Office, with Bai Yao supplying capital and Su providing combat power. 187 188

Infiltration and Political Sabotage

Pangpang expands from battlefield tactics into covert operations. Disguised as Manager Luo, he exposes the Noble Family Alliance to the Government Forces, hands over Luo Yan, then assumes Luo Yan’s face to infiltrate Yan Liang’s organization and search for the hidden laboratory. 297

Eastern Radiance Academy Duel

When Su Wuming selects him for a public academy duel, Pangpang defeats Bai Jun in a single move. His blood-energy wings and refined crimson Flowing Sakura drain ninety percent of Bai Jun’s blood energy, publicly disproving the assumption that Food-Type practitioners cannot be frontline fighters. 253 254
