The next day, Lu Xi lay comfortably on a lounge chair in the yard, lazily basking in the sun.
Unable to contain her excitement, Daisy spread her wings and flew off to have some fun.
With her current strength, she was unlikely to encounter any danger, so Lu Xi was not too worried.
The Daisy who flew off had completely let herself go.
She soared freely through the clouds above the city, enjoying the exhilarating breeze against her face.
Suddenly, her enhanced vision caught sight of something.
Outside a bank, four or five robbers wearing hoods were locked in a tense standoff with the NYPD.
The robbers clutched guns in their hands and held several trembling civilians hostage, using them as human shields.
The NYPD officers were wary of harming the hostages and did not dare act rashly. The atmosphere at the scene had become tense to the extreme.
As it happened, reporters from a television station had already arrived and were broadcasting live.
A sudden impulse rose within Daisy.
She wanted to try being a superhero too, to experience what it felt like to save the world.
So, without hesitation, she flapped her wings and dove toward the scene like a shooting star.
Daisy landed in front of the bank. When the robbers saw her suddenly appear, a flicker of fear flashed through their eyes.
One of the robbers raised his gun at Daisy and roared:
"Who the hell are you?! Stay out of this, or I'll shoot!"
The corners of Daisy's lips lifted slightly into a confident smile. She did not take the robber's threat seriously at all.
Seeing this, another robber pulled the trigger, sending several bullets speeding toward Daisy.
Yet when the bullets struck Daisy, a series of metallic clangs rang out. It was as though they had hit steel, and they bounced straight off.
The robbers' eyes widened in terror. Before they could react, Daisy flashed forward and instantly appeared before one of them.
Her hand shot out like lightning, grabbing the robber's wrist and twisting hard.
The robber cried out in pain and could no longer hold onto his gun. It fell to the ground.
Daisy followed up with a kick, sending him flying into two other robbers and knocking them over.
The remaining two robbers went mad and opened fire on Daisy.
But Daisy neither dodged nor evaded. Every bullet that hit her bounced away.
She moved as though no one stood in her way, and after a few swift movements, she had subdued those two robbers as well.
The entire process was clean and efficient. The NYPD officers and civilians at the scene were all left stunned.
The spectacular fight was broadcast in its entirety through the live feed, instantly stirring up a storm online.
After all, only yesterday, Lu Xi had made his grand entrance from the heavens.
With overwhelming strength, he had taken down Hulk and Abomination with ease, one punch each.
Online discussions about "Angel's Descent" had already been in full swing, with the hype remaining sky-high.
And only one day later, a female Angel had appeared and taken down a group of robbers, sending that wave of attention soaring to even greater heights.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere at Hydra's secret base was exceptionally grim.
After being warned by Lu Xi, Baron Strucker hurriedly notified Hydra's other top leaders.
With a grave expression and lingering fear on his face, he said:
"I've already been warned by Lucifer. He told us not to provoke him again."
"And he specifically mentioned that this included infiltrators like you."
Alexander Pierce's eyes widened in shock as he said in disbelief:
"How could he possibly know we exist? Did one of your men leak the information?!"
Baron Strucker was so furious he practically jumped to his feet, roaring in rebuttal:
"Bullshit! The people I sent didn't even know about this. What could they possibly leak to you?!"
Alexander Pierce was momentarily speechless, unsure how to respond.
At that moment, Madame Viper stepped forward to mediate. She said slowly:
"Legend says Lucifer rules Hell. Maybe he learned it from one of the dead people in our organization?"
Baron Strucker frowned and said impatiently:
"Anyway, our first contact has already failed. There's no point dwelling on this. The key question is, what do we do next?"
Since its founding, Hydra had possessed a deeply ingrained tradition.
Whenever it saw a powerful force, it would seek to seize control of it.
But the strength Lu Xi had displayed was far beyond the limits of what they could control.
This left everyone present in silence for a moment, unsure what to do.
Just then, a subordinate rushed in, leaned close to Pierce's ear, and urgently reported something.
Pierce's expression changed slightly after hearing it, and the others looked over curiously.
Soon, Pierce turned on the screen projection. What it showed was the news footage of Daisy crushing the robbers.
For a time, everyone made their own calculations, each wearing a different expression.
Madame Viper was the first to speak. Narrowing her eyes, she recalled:
"I remember this woman. When Lucifer descended, she was taken away by S.H.I.E.L.D. for questioning as well."
"If I remember correctly, she was still an ordinary human back then, wasn't she?"
Pierce nodded firmly and said:
"That's right. According to our intelligence, this woman named Daisy only moved into Lucifer's villa within the last two days."
"But the conditions inside the villa are unusual. We have no way to monitor it."
Baron Strucker's eyes lit up as he analyzed:
"This proves that Lucifer has the ability to transform humans into Angels!"
"Look at her combat ability in the video. She's probably no weaker than the Winter Soldier!"
A flash of greed passed through Pierce's eyes as he muttered:
"If we could master this method too, wouldn't we be able to mass-produce super soldiers?"
"By then, Hydra's strength would reach unprecedented heights."
Baron Strucker mercilessly mocked him:
"You think you can get the method from the Lord of Hell? And even if you got it, you think you could use it? Then mass-produce them and wait for him to punch every last one of you into pulp? Stop dreaming!"
Pierce's face immediately darkened as he said irritably:
"Can't I even think about it? Then what are we supposed to do, surrender to him as a group?"
As though a new possibility had suddenly opened before him, Baron Strucker's eyes gleamed.
"Huh, that actually might not be impossible."
He paused, looked at everyone's surprised expressions, and continued:
"Hydra originally began by worshipping that so-called Hydra God. Switching to another patron now does not seem like such a big deal."
Seeing that everyone was hesitant and unwilling to speak carelessly, Baron Strucker decided to lay it all out plainly:
"I'll put it bluntly. You all joined Hydra for nothing more than greater power and profit. Do you really believe in that vague, intangible Hydra God?"
