Capitalists' Slander
It has been a week since the Bide Rocket Crossbow Superfactory broke ground.
For the past seven days, the Rocket Crossbow specialty store has been packed with people, and the Rocket Crossbow have been in short supply.
Furthermore, Lester also used Azkaban's channels to transport the Rocket Crossbow to the European Continent, thus avoiding both taxation and after-sales service.
In the Wizarding World Wizarding World of Gaul, Germania, Audili, Wizarding World the Soviet Union Wizarding World, Rocket Crossbow are a common sight.
The enormous profits have made many people envious, including several well-known entrepreneurs in the Wizarding World who have publicly condemned the Bide Group.
"The Bide Group lacks any sense of ethics, maliciously raises workers' wages, and disrupts the labor market order!"
"Giving workers holidays is corrupting them; workers in the Wizarding World don't need holidays!"
"The Trash Group is maliciously disrupting the Wizarding World's market; they must be prosecuted!"
Inside the Knockturn Alley Guild, Lester looked at today's headline in the Daily Prophet and found it utterly ridiculous.
He had only given the workers the treatment they deserved, yet these capitalists kept complaining.
Lester didn't care. He had absolute power anyway, and these capitalists only dared to make noise for now. He believed they would quiet down once Sang Biao came knocking on his door.
Just then, there was a sudden, urgent knocking on the door.
Lester's spirits lifted. Could it be that Muggle-born was finally coming to the Guild to ask him for help in seeking justice?
He hurriedly ran downstairs to open the door, and there were indeed two upperclassmen wearing Hogwarts and Ravenclaw House uniforms.
"Lester Bide?" A handsome young man with refined features and an arrogant demeanor sized up Lester and said, "I never expected that Lester, who gets whatever he wants at Hogwarts, would live in a place like this!"
Seeing that no one was asking for his help, Lester lost interest and said indifferently, "What, you have a problem with that?"
The arrogant man smiled and said, "Of course I have no objection, Lester. In fact, it took us quite a bit of effort to find your home address."
"So, may we come in and have a seat?"
Although he didn't know why the two Ravenclaw House students wanted to see him, Lester was free now and wouldn't mind meeting them.
Upon entering the Guild, one of the arrogant men cut to the chase. "Lester, you may be very prestigious at Hogwarts, but... you know, you will eventually graduate."
"Furthermore, you appear to be a Muggle-born. You should know that in the entire Wizarding World right now, apart from the Bide Rocket Crossbow Superfactory, practically no company would hire Muggle-born."
Lester raised an eyebrow. "So?"
The arrogant man smiled smugly, "My father is a high-ranking official in the Nimbus Company, and his father is the director of the Flying Broom Regulation and Control Bureau of the Department of Magical Transportation."
"The reason we're looking for you is simple: we admire you, so you can become our subordinate!"
Lester: "..."
Good heavens, so these two Ravenclaw House thought they were Muggle-born and therefore struggling financially, so they came to recruit them.
It's ridiculous. One father is a high-ranking official in the Nimbus Company, and the other father is a mid-level official in the Magic Bureau. How dare these insignificant people be so presumptuous in front of me?
Let alone these two students, even their fathers are nothing but ants in front of him!
Lester smiled and said calmly, "If I may ask, what is your father's name?"
An arrogant man, believing Lester was smitten, asked without suspicion, "My father's name is F..."
Before he could finish speaking, a commotion suddenly broke out outside the door. Then, several men with bandit-like appearances walked in. Leading them was a very imposing old man, and behind them were two middle-aged men dressed in fine robes.
"Lord Lai, please forgive my intrusion!" The old man ignored the two arrogant men, bowed to Lester, and then clapped his hands.
Then, several burly black wizards brought up the two men in fine robes.
Lester looked at Old Fawley, puzzled, and asked, "Fawley, what's going on?"
Old Fawley respectfully took an envelope from his pocket and handed it to Lester, saying, "Lord Lai, this bastard actually tried to harm you; he's utterly outrageous!"
"So, I immediately had him arrested, and while I was at it, I also kidnapped his backer in the Ministry of Magic."
Two arrogant men. "..."
The two Ravenclaw House students were stunned as they stared at the two men in elaborate robes kneeling on the ground, tears streaming down their faces, repeatedly apologizing and begging for forgiveness.
"This is... this is the chairman of the Nimbus Company?!" Ravenclaw House was completely dumbfounded. His father's boss was now a prisoner.
The other Ravenclaw House was even more bewildered, jumping up immediately. "Director of the Flying Broom Regulation and Control Bureau, what are you doing here?"
Damn, I was too hasty. I thought Lester was only powerful at school, but it turns out Lester's even more powerful outside of school.
Old Fawley also noticed the two young men and made a throat-slitting gesture at Lester.
The young man was nearly scared to death at the sight, but thankfully Lester shook his head and said, "They are both students."
Two students who had caused him trouble one day were killed the next; Dumbledore would definitely associate this with him.
Lester looked at the two students with a smile and said, "By the way, what's your father's name again?"
Two arrogant men. "..."
Helpless, after betraying their father, the two Ravenclaw House fled in a panic.
Only then did Lester have time to deal with the two men who had been captured.
Deflin, the owner of the Lightwheel Corporation, looked at Lester and was filled with endless regret. This wasn't just Mudblood; this was a behemoth!
While he was enjoying hotpot, singing, and flirting with his female secretary in his office, Old Fawley barged in with a group of thugs and quickly tied him up.
Lester flipped through the envelope with great interest, then his face immediately darkened.
"You want to assassinate me?" Lester patted Deflin's face expressionlessly.
Deflin nearly wet himself in fear, pleading, "Lord Lai, it's a misunderstanding! I was really wrong. I didn't know you had such great power."
"Didn't you know you had such power?" Lester smiled, gently helping Deflin to his feet, and said softly:
"It's alright, it's alright, I'm a businessman."
Just as Deflin was relieved, Lester coldly said, "It's alright, just be more careful in your next life!"
Then, a green light flashed, Deflin's eyes widened suddenly, and he fell straight to the floor.
"Ah!!!"
The director of the Flying Broom Regulation and Control Bureau, standing to the side, was so terrified by the sight of the dead Deflin that he wet himself, a foul odor emanating from his crotch.
"Lord Lai, I'm truly innocent!" The chief was filled with remorse and kowtowed frantically. "Lord Lai, it was Deflin who gave me money and asked me to be his protector. I had absolutely no knowledge of his assassination attempt on you!"
Lester smelled the stench, frowned, and snorted coldly, "Quiet!"
The bureau chief immediately fell silent, but his trembling body betrayed his fear.
Lester first used a Cleaning Charm to cleanse the director, then said with a smile, "You're the director of the Flying Broom Regulation and Control Bureau of the Ministry of Magic, so shouldn't you be in charge of our plan to build Quidditch Pitch in Knockturn Alley?"
"Yes, Lord Lai!"
"Alright, this court is a public facility, you see..."
The director immediately understood and said, "Lord Lai, our Ministry of Magic Ministry of Magic will allocate funds to cover all construction costs for the Knockturn Alley Quidditch Pitch."
"Building Quidditch Pitch and enriching the after-school lives of the wizards in Knockturn Alley —you're such a philanthropist!"
"An entrepreneur like you is truly a role model for the Wizarding World, Lord Lai. When I get back, I'll apply for tax exemption for you. We must support good entrepreneurs like you!"
Seeing that the director was so accommodating, Lester nodded in satisfaction and said, "Very good, then I won't keep you any longer."
The bureau chief then left quickly, as if granted a pardon!
