Time to Leave Azkaban
"Coo coo coo!"
The little owl looked at the menacing prisoners before it with great fear, as if a single word of dissent would bring a Killing Curse upon it. It nodded its little head willingly, indicating that it was very interested in the job Lester had mentioned.
Seeing how well the little owl behaved, Lester was pleased and willing to say a few more words to him.
"Listen to me, don't think I'm threatening you by asking you to join me. I'm doing this for your own good!" Lester said sincerely. "With your amazing talent, there's no future for you at Hogwarts!"
"Coo coo coo?"
Under Lester's sweet talk, the little owl, who had only recently started working, was somewhat bewitched.
After all, he had been working for several days. After delivering each letter, he received only a little food as payment, and no other performance bonuses or rewards. He was just like that cheap laborer, delivering Hogwarts acceptance letters everywhere.
Seeing that the little owl was somewhat swayed by his words, Lester seized the opportunity to further fuel the little owl's discontent, saying:
"Also, the current leader of Hogwarts is Dumbledore. Although he is powerful, he doesn't know how to lead a team!"
"Look at how many people risked their lives for him 10 years ago, and what happened to them after the war? They did all the dirty and hard work, and in the end, they got nothing. Weren't they the biggest victims of injustice?"
"Toto, you're a clever little owl, and you can already earn your own food to support yourself, can't you?"
"Gurgle!"
The little owl proudly raised its head, its big eyes radiating pride.
"You have a certain level of judgment now, don't you?"
"Gurgle!!"
The little owl, who was already getting a little cocky, immediately agreed, practically screaming on its face, "I'm all grown up now, I can make my own decisions."
Lester looked at the little owl, its face flushed with excitement and its whole body trembling, and knew it was time to offer it a treat.
"If you are willing to submit to me, I will give you everything you desire!"
Confident words echoed across the clearing on Azkaban Island, accompanied by Lester's impassioned and persuasive speech, which continued to penetrate the little owl's heart.
"I will give you unparalleled status and countless riches."
"I will make you the center of attention in the Wizarding World, a hero in everyone's eyes."
"I will ensure your family lives a happy life, and that you have time to spend with them every day."
Lester concluded solemnly, "I will make you rise step by step, crushing those pureblood owls who look down on you under their feet!"
Lester, now fully engaged, was like a passionate orator, waving his hands and telling the little owl about a bright future.
Lester finished speaking with a smug look on his face. He believed that with his skillful rhetoric, no one could resist being swayed by him!
Sure enough, as soon as Lester finished speaking, excited shouts immediately erupted from the surrounding area.
"Awesome!!!"
"Lord Lai is awesome!!!"
"Kill the pureblood owl!!!"
Lester: "..."
Toto the little owl. "..."
Just as Lester was busy convincing the little owl, the group of prisoners who were working had been paying attention to what was happening, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
When they heard that Lester had actually extended an olive branch to this little owl, many prisoners wished they were owls themselves, so they could eat and drink well with Lester.
So they kept an eye on it, intentionally or unintentionally, wanting to see if this lucky little owl could seize the opportunity and rise to the top.
Unexpectedly, before they even saw the results, they heard Lester's speech about how he had incited Hafiz, and their emotions were immediately stirred up.
Even worse, they actually want to kill all purebred owls! That's absolutely insane!
Unlike the excited prisoners, the little owl had lived in the owlhouse at Hogwarts since birth, never lacking food or water, and was well-fed and plump.
If the prisoners were like wild grass struggling on the edge of a cliff, then the little owl was like a pampered young master born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Although they weren't living in luxury every day, they had no worries about food or drink and were happy all the time. There was no reason for them to harbor hatred and be used by Lester.
Seeing that the little owl remained unmoved, Lester had no choice but to resort to his ultimate weapon, saying, "If you come with me, you'll have plenty of food from now on, and I'll definitely raise you into a big, fat boy!"
As he spoke, Lester actually took out a large box of owl food from his Undetectable Extension Bag and placed it directly in front of the little owl.
The little owl, which had been somewhat hesitant before, didn't hesitate for a second when it saw the large box of owl food. It immediately swooped down and pecked at the food.
"Coo coo coo!! (I'm following you!!)"
While munching on its food, the little owl didn't forget to show its loyalty.
Lester: "..."
Watching the little owl devour its food, Lester finally felt relieved and had time to study his Hogwarts acceptance letter.
The envelope was made of parchment, and the recipient's address was written in dark green ink on the front. The address was, unsurprisingly, Lester's location, Azkaban.
Lester glanced at the little owl, who was still busy eating, with a hint of pity, feeling that he was really putting the little owl in a difficult position.
To prevent a prison break, Azkaban was located on a remote, desolate Lone Island, near Dumbledore. Without navigation, it would be difficult to find Azkaban at sea, further demonstrating the little owl's amazing talent.
The back of the envelope was printed with a shield emblem. At the top of the emblem was an "H" surrounded by a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake. Above and below the emblem were the words: the school's name, Hogwarts, and its motto, "Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon."
Lester opened the envelope and began to read the parchment pages.
Dear Mr. Lester
We are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of the required books and items.
The semester begins on September 1st. We will await your reply by July 31st.
Your loyalty
Minerva McGonagall
Vice Principal
This is the main content of the letter, and at the bottom of the letter is an appendix listing the essential items to bring to school.
After confirming that everything was correct, Lester carefully put the acceptance letter back into his pocket, looked around at the environment which was now completely different from before, and sighed.
"It's time to leave Azkaban!"
