The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, sat behind his desk, smoking his pipe. His slightly furrowed brows showed just how foul his mood was.
That was hardly surprising.
Naruto Uzumaki, the Jinchuriki, was emotionally unstable. There was a strong possibility that the Nine-Tailed Fox sealed within him might break free.
Hiruzen Sarutobi still clearly remembered how Kushina Uzumaki, the previous Jinchuriki, had given birth to Naruto Uzumaki. Because the seal had weakened, the Nine-Tailed Fox sealed inside her had broken free and wreaked havoc throughout Konoha, killing many ninja and civilians.
The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, had also perished because of the Nine-Tailed Fox incident.
It could be said that the Nine-Tailed Fox's rampage had dealt Konoha a devastating blow.
They had lost many outstanding ninja, as well as a young and promising Fourth Hokage.
If the Nine-Tailed Fox appeared again this time, the consequences would truly be unthinkable.
There was another person standing in the office—Kakashi.
He had presumably been speaking with the Third Hokage for quite some time.
"I hope history does not repeat itself."
Hiruzen Sarutobi murmured.
Before long, Ye Fan and Kurenai Yuhi entered from outside.

Kurenai Yuhi greeted him, instinctively glancing at Kakashi beside her.
