Makeup Exam Begins

Amid the anticipation of many, the day of Ye Fan's makeup exam finally arrived.

Though it was still early, some people had already claimed good viewing spots.

The most enthusiastic among them was the second daughter of the Hyuga Clan—Hanabi Hyuga.

She had been looking forward to this day since two days ago.

She had even imagined the battle scenes in her mind more than once.

And so,

early in the morning, she could no longer sit still.

She dragged her older sister, Hinata Hyuga, to the training hall well ahead of time.

"Big Sis, how do you think Senior Ye Fan will deal with Brother Neji?"

In the stands, Hanabi Hyuga's eyes sparkled as she clung to Hinata Hyuga's arm and asked.

Shaking her head, Hinata Hyuga replied gently,

"I don't know either."

"Big Sis, don't you think the exam task is underestimating Senior Ye Fan?"

Tilting her little head, Hanabi Hyuga asked in an adorably earnest manner.

"Why?"

"Look, the condition for passing the makeup exam is 'remain undefeated for five minutes.' With Senior Ye Fan's abilities, how could he possibly lose within five minutes? Even if his opponent is Brother Neji, it's absolutely impossible."

Hanabi Hyuga looked completely serious.

She had not realized that Ye Fan had already come to occupy a very important place in her heart.

Shino Aburame adjusted his sunglasses. He did not want anyone to see how much he cared about this makeup exam.

"Hello, Senior Shino!"

Beside her, Hanabi Hyuga politely greeted Shino Aburame without the slightest restraint.

Shino Aburame merely nodded in return.

After a while, more people gradually arrived.

First came Neji Hyuga, Rock Lee, Tenten, and then Iruka, the examiner in charge of this makeup exam.

A little later, Ye Fan and Kiba Inuzuka arrived together.

"Kid, you actually dared to show up!"

Neji Hyuga stared coldly at Ye Fan.

Yet Ye Fan ignored him outright and waved instead at Hanabi Hyuga in the stands.

Hanabi Hyuga happily waved back at Ye Fan, her expression seeming to say,

The second daughter of the Hyuga Main House was happily waving at a piece of trash.

"Ye Fan, Neji, time's up. Please enter the arena."

Iruka glanced at the time and suddenly spoke.

Ye Fan walked toward the center, with Laiyun and Dark Shadow following at his left and right.

Neji Hyuga stepped forward as well.

Today, he wore white, his sharp gaze firmly locked onto Ye Fan.

He had already made up his mind to make Ye Fan suffer today.

He would not hold back!

Before the makeup exam began, Iruka first explained its rules:

"...Explosive Tags are not allowed. When I announce the end, you must stop immediately. The makeup exam will last five minutes..."

"Both sides, prepare yourselves!"

Iruka stood in the center of the arena, raising one arm high.

Neji Hyuga's face turned icy as he assumed an opening stance.

Meanwhile, Ye Fan continued standing there casually, as though he were not the main participant in this makeup exam, but merely a spectator.

"Ye Fan, get ready!"

Iruka offered him a kind reminder.

Ye Fan helplessly shrugged and patted Laiyun beside him. Laiyun immediately lowered his body.

With a flip, Ye Fan mounted Laiyun's back and said unhurriedly,

"Alright, I'm ready!"

That casual attitude made the veins on Neji Hyuga's forehead bulge with anger, and even Iruka felt that Ye Fan needed a good beating.

"Begin!"

Iruka swung his arm down, officially declaring the start of the makeup exam.

Neji Hyuga shot straight toward Ye Fan like an arrow released from a bowstring.

It had to be said that Neji Hyuga was rather arrogant. He had not activated the Bloodline Limit, the Byakugan, right away. Perhaps he believed teaching Ye Fan a lesson would be as easy as turning his hand over.

Ye Fan still sat on Laiyun's back as though nothing was happening.

Just as Neji Hyuga was about to reach Ye Fan, a small black shadow shot out like lightning.

It was the little Ninja Hound, Dark Shadow, which had been waiting at the side for the right moment.

Neji Hyuga had kept his attention focused on Ye Fan and Laiyun. He never expected that this unremarkable little black ball would possess such terrifying explosive power!

In that lightning-fast instant,

Neji Hyuga hurriedly raised both arms to shield his body.
