On the way, they encountered charging Orcs. The three of them cast spells and launched a counterattack.
There were rather a lot of Orcs, forcing Malfoy and the other two to go all out to fend off their assault.

"We found them, but we don't have the keys. We need to find the keys before we can open the dungeon doors and rescue the Goblins," Forbes quickly replied.
"Where can we find the keys?" Ron Weasley asked anxiously.
"This way!" Malfoy said as he ran into the distance.
Harry and the others followed. Kalyanna quickly warned them, "The Chamber of Secrets where the keys are kept is guarded by Death Eaters. Be careful."

They encountered neither Orcs nor Death Eaters on the path leading to the Chamber of Secrets, so it was relatively safe for the five of them.
Before long, Harry and the others arrived before the Chamber of Secrets' door.
It was a heavy lifting door made of iron, looking extremely cumbersome.
Harry and Malfoy exchanged a glance and both nodded.
