Elemental Magic Academy.
The little sun vanished, and the lights went out as well, plunging the place into endless darkness.
At that moment, the doors of the Elemental Magic Academy opened, and three figures quietly slipped inside.
They were Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley.
They had originally come in high spirits to stop Professor Quirrell, but after entering, they found the place pitch-black and rather frightening. For a moment, they all froze.
"Harry, do you have a flashlight?" Ron asked quietly.
Hermione mercilessly shot Ron down. "Ron, don't you think that was an incredibly stupid question? Can you use electrical appliances at Hogwarts?"
Modern devices could not be used at Hogwarts and were forbidden from being brought in.
Ron, too, realized the significance of the words "incredibly stupid."
But faced with the darkness before him, he could not help feeling afraid.
Harry's eyes, hidden behind his glasses, remained calm.
Then, a ball of fire appeared in Harry's hand.
The sudden light startled Hermione and Ron.
"Hey, Harry, can you already freely gather Fire Elemental Magic?" Hermione asked, looking at Harry with admiration.
Harry smiled faintly. "It's pretty simple."
The fear had vanished from Ron's face, replaced by excitement, because Harry's Fireball provided excellent illumination.
"Harry, you're amazing! With this Fireball, Professor Quirrell won't be able to hide in the darkness."
"We have to catch him and make him pay."
Ron was now brimming with courage. He strained to open his squinting eyes wider as he looked around.
Harry Potter nodded and formed another Fireball.
One in each hand, he took the lead and began searching for Professor Quirrell, who was hiding in the darkness.
"Whoa, is this the Elemental Magic Academy?"
"It's so cool. It looks just like a Roman coliseum."
As Ron followed Harry onward, he discovered that the Elemental Magic Academy was astonishingly vast and incredibly tall.
Using the firelight to examine the Elemental Magic Academy, Harry felt a little excited as well, but he did not forget why they had come.
As a result, Harry was somewhat tense, his gaze cautiously scanning their surroundings.
"Hey, I think I stepped on something?"
Ron's voice rang out then, carrying a hint of jest.
Hearing that, Harry and Hermione instinctively turned to look at Ron.
"Ah!"
A cry of alarm escaped Hermione's mouth.
Harry's mouth fell open as well, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Ron was completely dumbfounded. What had happened?
Then Ron felt something wrap around his foot and instinctively looked down.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Oh my God, what's happening?"
"Harry, Hermione, save me!"
Ron only saw something black coiled around his foot. Before he could react, his body was instantly dragged away, vanishing into the darkness.
Yet Ron's voice continued to echo through the Elemental Magic Academy.
Ron's cries for help snapped Harry and Hermione out of their daze, and the two children immediately chased after him.
"Ron!"
Harry and Hermione cried out.
"Save me, Harry, Hermione!"
"Ah, it hurts so much! I think my bones are going to break!"
Ron answered in panic, his voice hurried and miserable.
Harry and Hermione had only run a few meters before losing their direction. At the same time, more vines shot out of the darkness and attacked them.
Harry dodged one vine's attack. Seeing that Hermione was about to be ambushed by a vine from behind, he immediately grabbed her and threw himself to the side with her. But the Fireball in Harry's hand vanished as well.
The Elemental Magic Academy was plunged into darkness.
Other than that, there was only a rustling sound.
"Harry!" Hermione cried out in panic.
In the darkness, Harry breathed rapidly as he stood up, gripping his wand tightly. He released a Fireball and called, "Hermione!"
The Fireball flew out and stopped two meters above Harry's head, serving as a source of light.
By the Fireball's glow, Harry suddenly discovered that thick vines surrounded him. They resembled snakes, giving off an extremely dangerous feeling.
"Hermione! Ron!"
Harry was frantic. He could gather Fireballs, but he did not know how to attack with them.
What was more, the Fireballs he released now had no real power. They were just right for lighting the way.
It was only their second day of learning Elemental Magic, and Katelyle had yet to teach them how to cast spells.
"Harry, save me! Something has wrapped around me."
"Ah, I'm flying!"
Hermione's terrified voice rang out as she struggled to answer Harry.
"Flames, burn!"
Hearing Hermione's panicked cries and receiving no response from Ron, Harry Potter watched his two best friends face danger. As the vines closed in on him, sweat continuously beaded on his forehead, and his breathing grew more and more rapid.
In the end, Harry Potter summoned his courage. He wanted to take a gamble.
He swung his wand, and Fire Element energy surged forth. In an instant, the wand responded to Harry.
Boom!
Blazing Inferno blossomed before him like a magnificent red lotus, radiating dazzling light.
When the vines encountered the flames, they immediately curled up.
Harry Potter was incredibly excited, and he promptly cast magic in the other three directions as well.
"Flames, burn!"
"Flames, burn!"
"Flames, burn!"
For a time, Blazing Inferno burned all around Harry Potter, illuminating the Elemental Magic Academy.
Through the firelight, Harry quickly searched for Hermione and Ron.
Very soon, Harry spotted Hermione, who was entangled by vines.
Hermione saw Harry and kept trying to struggle free. Her delicate eyes were full of panic. "Harry, your flames are too big! If you don't come save me, I'll burn to death!"
The flames spread quickly, and the vines, frightened and pained by the fire, writhed constantly.
As a result, Hermione was dizzy and disoriented. "Harry, not only am I going to faint, I'm going to be burned to death too."
Hearing Hermione's words, Harry became even more panicked.
He was desperate to save Hermione, but he did not know how to get through the flames to rescue her.
At that moment, Harry felt utterly foolish. Why had he set all the surrounding vines on fire?
"Hermione, hang in there. I'll find a way to save you."
Unable to think of a solution for the moment, Harry could only anxiously try to comfort Hermione first.
At that moment, Harry Potter suddenly noticed a black-robed figure in a corner of the Elemental Magic Academy, staring at him.
At once, Harry clutched his head. That scar hurt terribly!
