The Quidditch Pitch.
The grounds rang with cheers and excitement.
Today was the first Quidditch match of the new school year.
Gryffindor versus Slytherin.
Thanks to the Gryffindor team's performance over the past year, which had brought Gryffindor its first championship in nearly a decade, the Gryffindor students were brimming with interest and enthusiasm.
The Slytherins were no less fired up. They glared at Gryffindor as though facing a sworn enemy, their fierce expressions betraying an urge to avenge their past humiliation.
Of course, what excited them even more was that the match had already begun, and Draco and his teammates were doggedly harrying Harry and the others, keeping Gryffindor from scoring many points.
So what they eagerly anticipated now was making Gryffindor fight for its victory.
"The Golden Snitch!"
"Harry has caught the Golden Snitch again, ending the match outright!"
As a devoted Harry fan, Colin snapped photos furiously and shouted in excitement.
Gryffindor erupted into delighted laughter and another wave of excitement.
Slytherin, meanwhile, descended into cursing, leaving Draco Malfoy and his teammates looking rather grim.
After all, their greatest hope had been to win the match. Failing that, they had wanted to keep Gryffindor from scoring and drag the match out.
Unfortunately, their plan had failed again.
"You lost again, Draco," Cedric called, smiling at Draco Malfoy.
Cedric and the others had discussed things in private to work out how to counter Gryffindor in Quidditch matches.
Their conclusions had involved not only limiting Gryffindor's speed, but also using tactics to obstruct their opponents' vision and gain a lead in points.
"You might not have done any better in our place," Draco Malfoy replied coolly, looking at Cedric.
The last thing Draco wanted was to lose to Harry, in any respect.
Unfortunately, they had lost another Quidditch match.
