Both were combative, and they had fought each other privately more than a few times.
But did they have any affection for each other? They certainly did.
At least, they had often played together as children.
In truth, however, the sea god Poseidon and Thor belonged to two mythological systems from different dimensions.
The sea god Poseidon was a belligerent member of the Greek Mythology System.
Thor was a belligerent member of the Norse Mythology System.
They had known each other since childhood, yet often challenged each other to fights.
Meanwhile, the gods of the Christian Mythology System had risen to prominence later and were a major force behind the outbreak of the War of the Gods.
The Death God was one of the powerful figures who had instigated the War of the Gods.
"I know a bird-person. If she's still around, she'll definitely be hiding there," Thor said slowly.
"Who?" Athena asked gravely.
Athena deeply disliked those bird-people-the angels-and held a bitter grudge against them.
During the War of the Gods, the depravity of some of those bird-people had truly disgusted her.
They had actually wanted to capture her, one of the twelve Olympian Main Gods, make her their slave, and toy with her however they pleased.
Naturally, she had scorned such outrageous behavior and hunted them down in fury.
But as more and more angels died at her hands during that war, the seraph Seraph had ordered Gabriel and the other archangels to surround and kill her.
Even as the goddess of war, she had nearly fallen under the combined assault of so many archangels.
