Wen Chengze and Cheng Liang looked at the person who had spoken at the same time.
A face so perfect it was almost unreal appeared in their field of vision.
At the sight of Zhong Mohan's face, Cheng Liang shuddered instinctively.
A mere celebrity, even an award-winning actor, would not have been enough to frighten Cheng Liang. But the pressure Zhong Mohan himself exuded was enough to make Cheng Liang feel threatened.
When Zhong Mohan smiled, he displayed an irresistible charm. But when he did not smile, his face was incredibly aggressive; one glance from him felt like being targeted by a beast.
Cheng Liang instinctively pulled Wen Chengze to his side. "No, he's a newly signed artist at our company, the young master of the Wen Household."
Cheng Liang had assumed Zhong Mohan was speaking to him, and the way the other man's gaze rested on Wen Chengze made him somewhat flustered.
Worried that Zhong Mohan had mistaken Wen Chengze for the sort of young boy who could be hired for company, he hurriedly explained.
Wen Chengze looked at Zhong Mohan but ultimately said nothing.
Zhong Mohan's gaze traveled over Wen Chengze before finally landing on Cheng Liang.
Then he reached a conclusion: weak.
Wen Chengze probably would not be interested.
Only then did Zhong Mohan recall Cheng Liang from the corner of his memories.
He leisurely adjusted his cuff. "Out having fun?"
Cheng Liang hurriedly nodded. "Yes. Xiao Ze is joining a variety show in a couple of days—the one you and Phoenix Dynasty are doing. I brought him out to relax."
Seeing that Zhong Mohan seemed about to chat with Cheng Liang, Wen Chengze interrupted, "I'm going to the restroom first."
Wen Chengze thought that if he left, Zhong Mohan should lose interest in continuing to chat with Cheng Liang.
After all, he was certain that Zhong Mohan's earlier "new companion" had definitely been directed at him.
However, Wen Chengze had not expected Zhong Mohan to still be there when he came out of the restroom. There was even an excited gleam in Cheng Liang's eyes.
"Xiao Ze, it just so happens that Best Actor Zhong is here with his friends too. We can all have some fun together, and you can take the chance to learn a thing or two from him."
Although Cheng Liang did not know much about Zhong Mohan, he remembered what his grandfather and father had told him: he had to build a good relationship with Zhong Mohan. Even if they could not become friends, they absolutely could not become enemies. Now that the other party had invited them himself, how could he possibly turn down such an opportunity?
Wen Chengze had wanted to refuse, but when he saw the amusement in Zhong Mohan's eyes, he suddenly felt challenged and did not say he would not go.
"Go back and ask them."
Cheng Liang immediately said, "They'll definitely be willing. They're all fans of Best Actor Zhong."
At first, Wen Chengze thought Cheng Liang was merely being polite.
It was not until he followed Zhong Mohan upstairs with the others that Wen Chengze realized the others really were Zhong Mohan's fans.
"Best Actor Zhong's work is just too captivating. I've watched every one of his movies at least ten times."
"Who here isn't a diehard fan?"
"I've practically memorized all his lines."
Listening from the side, Wen Chengze was thoroughly speechless. He truly did not understand what there was to like about Zhong Mohan.
Anything connected to that man was nothing but trouble, and he liked playing pranks too. Other than his face, what good points did he even have?
"Didn't you all look down on people in the entertainment industry?" After his friends had praised Zhong Mohan more than ten times, Wen Chengze could not help asking.
"That depends on the person. Of course we look down on those who rely on underhanded methods, but Best Actor Zhong is different. He earned his reputation through his work, fair and square. And I heard that even several big shots in the industry don't dare do anything to him. People suspect he has an even more powerful force backing him."
Wen Chengze sneered. They had guessed pretty close to the truth.
"Mohan, you went out to sober up. Why did you take so long? We thought you'd run off."
The moment they reached the private room, they heard someone teasing him.
A long-haired beauty leaned against the doorway. He was stunning at first glance, but upon closer inspection, he was actually a man.
Zhong Mohan said nothing. The man did not find it awkward either and instead looked past Zhong Mohan again.
"Oh? Where did you abduct so many pretty little boys from?" Though the beauty was male, his voice seemed to carry a hook, instantly catching the hearts of several innocent young men.
The lively chatter from moments ago fell silent at once.
Zhong Mohan said, "Phoenix Dynasty's young crown prince came with his friends to have some fun. They'll be business partners in the future, so I brought them up to join us."
Surprise flashed through the beauty's eyes, but it quickly vanished. He promptly stepped aside and let them enter.
There were three more people seated inside the private room. After hearing the long-haired beauty's introduction, their eyes showed the exact same surprise.
After they were invited to sit down, the atmosphere in the private room became lively again.
Every one of Zhong Mohan's friends was shrewd. Within minutes, they had guided the young men into mingling with them as though they had known one another for ages.
Watching from the side, Wen Chengze did not know what to say. In just a few minutes, the enemy had nearly pried their entire family background out of them.
How had he never noticed that his friends were such fools before? Even Cheng Liang was the same. Hadn't he always been smooth when charming girls? Why was he so slow-witted now?
Wen Chengze could not help turning his gaze toward the man seated beside him, but the moment he turned his head, he froze.
The dim lighting did not prevent him from seeing the man's sharply sculpted profile. His fingers loosely held a wineglass as he took a careless sip. His Adam's apple bobbed, and the liquor slid down his throat.
Wen Chengze involuntarily recalled the thrilling sensation of sweat sliding from Zhong Mohan's Adam's apple and dripping into the hollow of his shoulder that night.
At the time, he had thought no one in the world could possibly have a sexier Adam's apple than Zhong Mohan.
Sensing the burning gaze beside him, Zhong Mohan turned his head. "Want a drink?"
As if possessed, Wen Chengze nodded.
Seeing the look in the young man's eyes, Zhong Mohan chuckled softly and lightly flicked his forehead with a bent finger.
"What is a child drinking for? How about some milk instead?"
No one had ever dared flick his forehead in all his life. Wen Chengze immediately glared at Zhong Mohan. "Don't touch me. And I'm not a child anymore—I can drink!"
With an indescribable meaning in his gaze, Zhong Mohan's eyes swept over the young man's body. He lowered his voice. "Mm. I forgot. I was the one who personally brought you into the adult world."
Wen Chengze's cheeks reddened. Though he had previously said they were both adults and did not need to take it to heart,
it had still been his first time. Being discussed like this still made him unable to stop himself from feeling embarrassed.
Just as he was about to retort, Zhong Mohan continued, "That's precisely why you're even more of a child in front of me."
Wen Chengze gritted his teeth. "How can you be sure that was my first time?"
"You were that tight. How many times could it have been?"
