Background / History

Yan Yun rules Yan Kingdom from the Profound Emperor Hall. She initially believed Zhou Ming—then using the identity Zhou Yuxi—to be a foreign infiltrator who had taken the Yan Kingdom War God's divine ability, and ordered his execution. After Mo Jiuzhong investigated and Yan Yuan intervened, she released him and permitted him to restore his original appearance. 51 55

She is confined to the Profound Emperor Hall by a seal and shares her body with Yan Yuan, a more playful second consciousness. The two are described as twin souls whose eventual fusion could either free them from their confinement or endanger Yan Yun's body. 55 138 139
