Miao Mu's fingers touched the Time Grandfather Clock, and a string of information surfaced in his mind. He stared wide-eyed at the button between the hour and minute hands.
Should he press it? This was the power to alter time.
Though it had not been explained clearly enough, Miao Mu still thought of an example involving time: The Flash. After all, he had changed time and directly created a Flashpoint Universe.
"But... what the hell does that have to do with me?" Miao Mu rubbed his hands together and pressed it. What could possibly be worse than things already were?
Joker had supposedly died but had not stayed dead, and now he had reappeared—with an extra Joker on top of that. Then there was the Roman's ten-day deadline, which was absurdly awful, the kind of threat that could wipe out his whole family.
This kind of world might as well be destroyed!
Miao Mu pressed the button. An electric current slid across the hour hand, and the pendulum, which had been swaying once every second, suddenly slowed.
Nothing happened around him...
But Miao Mu still noticed something was wrong. A crow flying through the sky had frozen in midair, as though time had suddenly stopped.
However, before Miao Mu could raise his hands and cheer, the crow flew away, and everything returned to normal.
That time control had been a little too quick. Miao Mu stood there with his hands raised awkwardly, then lifted one to touch his chest and feel his heartbeat.
