The wandering wizard finally panicked. His life was now in Lyon's hands.
"I'll talk, I'll talk. The place is Spinner's End."
"Good."
Lyon nodded in satisfaction, and the wandering wizard sighed in relief.
"Fiendfyre Incineration!"
In an instant, Lyon raised his wand, and a terrifying black-red beam from its tip struck the wandering wizard's body!
Black-red flames spread across the wandering wizard's entire body within mere breaths.
In the empty wasteland, screams rang out without end. The dozen or so Razor Gang members around them all held their breath.
"Who said I'd let you live?"
Lyon glanced disdainfully at the wandering wizard, who was still glaring at him venomously with his final breath.
"And you call yourself a wandering wizard? I gave you a chance, and you were useless."
The last wandering wizard present froze.
Having watched his other two companions die from start to finish, he now had a clear understanding of Lyon's strength.
Fuck, could someone tell him why such ruthless methods came from an eleven-year-old boy?
"Don't worry. You're the only one left. I don't kill innocent people. Go."
The wandering wizard looked uncertainly at Lyon, then at the Razor Gang members around him, who were pointing guns at his head.
"What are you standing there for? Godfather Lyon said you could go."
A Razor Gang member beside him kicked him, and only then did the wandering wizard get to his feet and shakily back away.
After taking a few steps and confirming that Lyon would not kill him, the wandering wizard gradually picked up speed and began to run, his eyes trembling uncontrollably.
He had survived?
"Fiendfyre Incineration!"
"Bang!"
Another pile of ashes appeared on the wasteland.
"You dared lay hands on my men, and you think you're innocent?" Lyon's gaze was icy. "My men aren't people you can touch whenever you please."
The dozen or so Razor Gang members around him felt their hearts tremble as they watched Lyon's actions. Was this magic?
Yet they also felt warm inside. Those words had struck straight at their hearts.
Back when they had been small-time thugs, those mafia bosses would not even spare them a second glance.
Ever since following Godfather Lyon, their treatment had improved by leaps and bounds, and their godfather cared deeply about them as well.
Lyon did not care what the others thought. He glanced at Mike. "Mike, arrange the schedule for tomorrow. We're making a trip to Spinner's End."
"Yes, Godfather."
With that, everyone left. Lyon remained in the wasteland, continuing to practice his spells.
[Ding, spell: Fiendfyre Curse. Proficiency has successfully reached silent casting!]
After practicing for an entire afternoon, Lyon finally heard the system's voice.
His Fiendfyre Curse had successfully reached the level of silent casting!
Lyon raised his wand and gave it a light wave.
"Whoosh!"
A mass of Fiendfyre instantly filled the entire wasteland. This time, its power was even greater, spreading across the whole stretch of barren ground!
With a casual wave, he could unleash Fiendfyre across hundreds of square meters!
This was also thanks to the system's Dark Magic Prodigy talent. If an ordinary person learned this spell, they could at most master it after several hours, while Lyon had already achieved silent casting.
He had considered learning other spells, but he was going to Spinner's End tomorrow. As far as offensive spells went, mastering just one was actually enough.
There was still a month before school began. He had plenty of time to learn.
[Ding, congratulations to the host for learning his first silent spell. Achievement unlocked: Huh, who fired that spell?] [Reward for host: Upgrade any spell once! Please select the spell you wish to upgrade.]
Lyon's eyes lit up. "Upgrade the Fiendfyre Curse."
In an instant, Lyon felt a stream of information flood his mind, and he discovered that he had gained a deeper understanding of the Fiendfyre Curse.
[Ding! Spell: Fiendfyre Curse. Proficiency has reached the wandless stage!] [Ding! Congratulations to the host for learning wandless casting. Achievement unlocked: Come closer, let me show you my finger.] [Reward for host: Upgrade any spell once! Please select the spell you wish to upgrade.]
???
Was this some kind of nesting doll game?
Since it was a system reward anyway, Lyon silently muttered to himself again.
"Upgrade the Fiendfyre Curse."
[Ding, spell: Fiendfyre Curse. Proficiency has successfully reached Master-grade. The host has mastered the principles of the Fiendfyre Curse and can advance the spell!]
Lyon's heart stirred. He raised a hand. "Fiendfyre Incineration!"
A mass of black-red flame actually appeared directly on his finger. Unlike the previous two times, this flame seemed to be under Lyon's control!
He could even directly control Fiendfyre, making it appear on wood without setting it alight.
However, after controlling the Fiendfyre, Lyon discovered that the spell's consumption was enormous.
Lyon suddenly felt weak, likely because he had spent the entire afternoon practicing spells.
The weakness rising from deep within his body made him withdraw the flames quickly. Releasing so many spells in such a short time had left his magic somewhat insufficient.
The system had said that this spell could be advanced, but Lyon had consumed too much magic and was currently drained. For the time being, he had no mind to study it.
After returning to his private villa within the Razor Gang and having Mike give bonuses to the dozen or so Razor Gang members who had risked themselves to capture the wandering wizards at noon, Lyon fell asleep the moment he lay down. He was truly exhausted.
The next day, it was raining at Spinner's End.
The surroundings were quiet. If not for the occasional old witch in a black robe along the street, wearing a sinister smile, this place would have seemed more like an abandoned village.
Lyon remembered that this seemed to be Snape's old home. Snape should be at Hogwarts now.
The chances of Snape being home were low. This place held Snape's unhappy childhood, and with that old bat's personality, he probably did not like coming here.
He had heard that the tavern ahead could exchange pounds for Galleons.
This time, more than a hundred Razor Gang members had accompanied Lyon. They could prevent any blind wandering wizards from ruining his mood.
Rusty Iron Tavern.
Lyon wore a gray suit and an exquisite newsboy cap, with black gloves on his hands. Like the hundred-plus Razor Gang members behind him, he held a black umbrella.
The huge group stood beneath identical black umbrellas, creating a solemn atmosphere. Standing at the entrance of the Rusty Bar, they quickly drew the attention of the people nearby.
Lyon stepped forward and pushed open the door.
At the counter, a thin, withered old wizard stood up at the sight. His sinister gaze swept over Lyon and his group, while the hand beneath his wizard robes had already grasped his wand.
"Welcome, gentlemen. This is a tavern sponsored by the Malfoy Family. May I ask which family you belong to?"
The old wizard forced a smile onto his face, but he secretly waved the wand beneath his robes, sending a flash of light onto the floor before putting it away.
The few black-robed people who had been drinking and talking in the tavern also fell silent. Pairs of eyes beneath their hoods watched Lyon, somewhat fearful of his group's attire.
By saying that this place was sponsored by the Malfoy Family, the old wizard was clearly trying to show Lyon that they were not welcome here and that this was not a place where they could cause trouble.
"My surname is Shelby. I'm here to exchange pounds for Galleons."
Lyon did not mention the Razor Gang's name. Many wizards might know it, but he was only here to exchange Galleons this time and did not want to be too conspicuous.
The old wizard narrowed his eyes as he looked at the hundred-plus Razor Gang members standing outside, then at Lyon's attire. He quickly ran through the forces in Wizarding Society that he knew of.
He had no impression of any Shelby Family, and judging from these people's clothing, they were likely Muggle gangsters.
At that thought, the respectful expression vanished from the old wizard's face, along with his smile.
"Very well, sir. Please follow me. The exchange will be conducted in the back alley. You have too many subordinates, so they cannot enter."
Lyon raised a brow. "The amount involved in my transaction is substantial. If anything goes wrong, you won't be able to bear the consequences."
As soon as he said that, the old wizard narrowed his eyes, and several wizards wrapped in black robes nearby suddenly laughed.
"A little brat dares come here with a few Muggles? And you say the amount is substantial? Who do you think you are?"
A voice came from the crowd. Lyon glanced over and saw a man wearing tattered robes.
The man was not wearing a hood. His face was grim, and his eyes openly appraised Lyon with greed. Then he looked at Lyon's subordinates and noticed that each of them carried a suitcase.
Lyon glanced at the old wizard behind the counter. The old wizard had no intention of intervening. It seemed he wanted to test Lyon's strength.
The grim man also glanced at the old wizard at the counter. Seeing that he had no intention of intervening, a mocking smile curled across his face as he stood.
"Since you've come to Wizarding Society, you must follow Wizarding Society's rules. You hand over twenty percent of the pounds in your possession before you can enter."
