Background / History

Lyon transmigrated into the wizarding world and spent ten years being raised by his father, a wizard who respected Muggles and sent him to a Muggle school. His father was killed while protecting Muggles during a Death Eater disturbance in Birmingham; the Ministry conducted only a cursory investigation. Lyon left school afterward. 1

Within the following year, Birmingham’s gang bosses died one after another and Lyon became the city’s godfather. He organized the Razor Gang around personal loyalty, intending to equip its members with magic, find his father’s killers, overturn the Ministry of Magic, and establish the gang as a ruling power in Wizarding Society. 1

He entered the magical world after receiving his Hogwarts letter, presenting himself publicly as a composed businessman while building influence through charity appearances, currency exchanges, and alliances with established wizarding families. 6 9 10

Appearance

Lyon is consistently presented in formal Muggle attire rather than conventional wizard robes, reinforcing the organized and intimidating image of the Razor Gang. At Hogwarts, he also wears school robes and Razor Gang uniforms as circumstances require. 8 16 57

  • Gray suit and an exquisite newsboy cap. 8
  • Black gloves, which he deliberately removes before issuing threats or confronting opponents. 42 96
  • Frequently accompanied by identically dressed Razor Gang members carrying black umbrellas. 8
  • Uses a tailored, polished public image suited to a wealthy gang leader. 12

Personality

Lyon is composed, calculating, and unusually mature for a first-year student. He remains calm in negotiations with Lucius Malfoy, the Sacred Twenty-Eight Families, Hogwarts professors, and hostile factions, usually treating conversation as a contest of leverage rather than emotion. 9 75 96 131

He is ruthless toward threats, traitors, and anyone who harms his followers. He uses lethal or near-lethal magic without hesitation when cornered, yet distinguishes between enemies who cooperate and those who persist in endangering his people. 8 81 102

Despite his authoritarian instincts, Lyon is protective of his subordinates and companions. He improves the Razor Gang’s treatment of its members, intervenes for Hermione and Neville, and later comes to value unity, connection, and balance over solitary control. 8 29 55 235

Abilities & Skills

Magical Reserves and Learning Talent

Lyon possesses exceptional magical reserves from the beginning; Surging Magic doubles his magical strength. His system later identifies additional talents for ordinary spellcasting, potions, and magical creatures. 6 105

  • Learns and masters Dark Magic with unusual ease through Dark Magic Prodigy. 6 7
  • Learns ordinary spells rapidly through Spellcasting Genius. 105
  • Displays instinctive potions aptitude, brewing an epic potion during his first Potions lesson. 25
  • Gains favorable responses from magical creatures, including a Thestral and a mutated Billywig. 16 27
  • His power can become unstable: a Magical Outburst damages the Teachers’ Common Room and requires hospitalization. 33

Silent and Wandless Spellcasting

Lyon can cast spells silently and without a wand, often chaining multiple spells together before opponents can react. His skill is already remarkable upon arrival at Hogwarts. 14 18

  • Uses wandless, silent Summoning and Levitation Charms to retrieve Neville’s toad. 14
  • Combines Levitation, Shrinking, and Undetectable Extension Charms to store luggage inside Hermione’s pocket. 16
  • Performs wandless, silent magic during the Sorting Ceremony, stunning McGonagall, Flitwick, and Dumbledore. 18
  • By his own account, masters spells taught from first through third year, with most usable silently or wandlessly. 67

Dark Magic and Fiendfyre

Fiendfyre is Lyon’s signature Dark spell. He rapidly progresses it to master grade and demonstrates enough control to use it selectively rather than indiscriminately. 7 8 20

  • Uses master-level Fiendfyre to kill a hostile wizard at the Rusty Iron Tavern. 9
  • Defends against Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle with Fire Shield, then burns only their clothing with controlled Fiendfyre. 20
  • Uses the Killing Curse against enemies, including Saints and hostile Slytherin prefects. 42 43 81
  • Casts an Area Killing Curse while surrounded by Saints, nearly dying from the strain. 102
  • Creates dark green clouds that annihilate a large Saint force, leaving one survivor for interrogation. 81

Defensive and Utility Magic

Lyon applies practical magic with the same efficiency he brings to combat.

  • Fire Shield — Blocks hostile spells, including Stupefy during his escape from the Saints. 20 101
  • Flying Charm — Evolves his master-level Levitation Charm into true flight. 33 55

Ancient Magic and Death’s Eye

Lyon gains access to Ancient Magic through Voldemort and the Time-Reversal Charm, though his agreement with Voldemort binds him through an Unbreakable Vow. 52 75 90

  • Time-Reversal Charm — Obtained as a reward after mastering the Flying Charm; initially recorded at beginner level. 33 34
  • Death’s Eye / Blood Eye — A system reward connected to the Grim Reaper; allows Lyon to perceive otherwise hidden magical links and the Death Force within him. 115 119
  • His encounter with the Grim Reaper occurs after his wand’s blue thread saves his soul and carries it into the Death Realm. 102
  • Ancient Magic is powerful but dangerous; it repeatedly attracts the attention of Dumbledore, Voldemort, McClure, and hostile factions. 56 75 119

Founder Bloodlines and Primordial Magic

Lyon’s later abilities stem from his status as heir to all four Hogwarts founders. He combines inherited powers, founder artifacts, and elemental magic to confront threats beyond ordinary spellcasting. 195 230

  • Activates Lion King’s Power in battle against Ancient Magic. 193
  • Uses the Ravenclaw bloodline to perceive the fundamental structure of magic. 232
  • Combines inherited power with Draco to activate a Four Founders’ magic array. 195
  • Merges wind magic and Frost Runes into a giant wolf while fighting Odin. 229
  • Uses Thor’s Hammer to connect the Void to the four-House cycle, transforming it into a Pentagram Energy Field that safeguards balance. 235
  • Full use of the four bloodlines weakens Lyon and accelerates the Void seal’s collapse. 233 235

Leadership, Strategy, and Business

Lyon built the Razor Gang into a force capable of competing with old wizarding families and hostile organizations. He combines intimidation with recruitment, financial incentives, strict rules, and public displays of power. 1 126 135
