Background
Gu Yue is the human-form incarnation of the Silver Dragon King. After recuperating for ten thousand years, she awakened at peak condition and learned from Di Tian about the human world’s growth, including artificial Soul Spirits and the ascent of human gods. To investigate humanity, she divided herself into Gu Yue and Na'er; Na'er became a six-year-old girl with sealed memories. 461
Following Na'er's trail, Gu Yue traveled to Eastsea City and encountered Tang Wulin. She was immediately drawn to him, later learning that he was connected to the Soul Spirit Method, the Spirit Pagoda, and the title Dragon God Douluo. 461
She entered Donghai Academy by challenging Xie Xie for enrollment, then joined Tang Wulin and Xie Xie as part of their class. 27 28 29 Wu Zhangkong later assigned her the team’s Control Department role, recognizing her rapid elemental switching and battlefield restraint as her greatest assets. 34
Appearance
Gu Yue is an exceptionally beautiful girl whose composed, unusual temperament leaves a stronger impression than her appearance alone. Tang Wulin associates her distinctive aura with the Silver Dragon King’s bearing. 27
- Usually maintains a calm, cool, and aloof expression.
- Carries a natural majesty that becomes pronounced when angered or protecting Tang Wulin.
- Shows no obvious physical transformation when activating her Elementalist Martial Soul. 207
- Her demeanor can abruptly shift from icy restraint to embarrassment, possessiveness, or affectionate shyness.
Personality
Gu Yue is composed, proud, and highly self-aware. Despite her immense strength, she initially downplays it, explaining that her advantage lies in understanding and controlling her elements rather than in any single overpowering attribute. 29 She is also practical in battle, preferring efficient control and positioning over direct exchanges.
Her cool exterior conceals deep attachment to Tang Wulin. She becomes openly jealous when other girls approach him, yet repeatedly chooses trust and support over possessiveness—such as lending him her Spirit Pagoda credentials to assist Yuanen Yehui. 109 255 Her affection is often expressed through tsundere behavior, sharp remarks, and quiet acts of consideration. 280 435
Gu Yue is fiercely protective of those she values. She stood beside Tang Wulin’s claim to class leadership, warning anyone who doubted him to defeat her first. 230
Abilities & Skills
Elementalist Martial Soul
Gu Yue’s Martial Soul, Elementalist, is the incomplete human-form manifestation of the Silver Dragon King. It allows her to wield numerous elemental attributes without the usual backlash associated with multi-element control. 207 228
- Controls ice, fire, earth, wind, light, space, darkness, and other elemental variations. 29 229
- Has demonstrated seven attributes: ice, fire, wind, earth, space, light, and darkness. 229
- Her elemental affinities are described as having reached ultimate levels. 96
- Uses elements with exceptional precision rather than relying on raw output alone. 29
- Is naturally aided by surrounding elements during movement and physical training. 32
Elemental Techniques
Gu Yue can immediately switch elements and combine them into layered battlefield control.
- Earth Wall / Earth Shield — defensive barriers against incoming attacks. 28 75
- Ice Spike — offensive ice projectiles; can be modified with other attributes, including space, to hinder opponents. 28 228
- Fireball / Great Fireball Technique — concentrated flame attacks. 28 228
- Wind Blade — compressed wind attack used at close range and as a finishing threat. 28
- Wind tornado — an area-control technique that disrupts enemy movement and creates openings for repositioning. 228
- Four-colored flower — a delicate display of simultaneous earth, water, wind, and fire control. 207
Spatial Control
Gu Yue possesses powerful space-element abilities, allowing rapid repositioning and rescue.
- Teleported behind Xie Xie during their enrollment duel and held a Wind Blade to his neck. 28
- Used spatial movement to infiltrate Tang Wulin’s cabin aboard the Star Luo Liner. 301
- Shifted positions to save Zhen Hua from a potentially fatal attack. 296
- Can use space-enhanced elemental attacks to limit faster opponents. 228
Elemental Fusion and Battlefield Control
Gu Yue’s greatest combat strength is her ability to coordinate multiple elements, restrict enemy movement, and create attacks from changing angles. Wu Zhangkong specifically regarded her instant elemental switching as a decisive team asset. 34
- Her Elemental Fusion is considered exceptionally powerful, and her spiritual power makes her suited to Battle Armor design. 53
- Defeated Xie Xie by alternating defense, ranged pressure, and teleportation. 28
- Easily defeated Xu Xiaoyu after he attempted to steal spirit power. 97
- Overwhelmed Wu Siduo’s speed and Netherworld White Tiger with layered ice, fire, wind, earth, and space control. 228 229
- Her comparatively weak physical condition remains a vulnerability if a powerful agility-type opponent reaches melee range. 35
Equipment / Items
- Spirit Pagoda identity card — Granted Tang Wulin access through her recorded Spirit Pagoda status. 255
- Spirit Pagoda discount card — Lent to Tang Wulin so Yuanen Yehui could obtain a Soul Spirit at reduced cost. 256
- Soul Power Milk Bottle — Received one of Tang Wulin’s restored Soul Guidance Devices and tested its ability to replenish Soul Power. 133
Relationships
- Tang Wulin — Classmate, closest companion, lover, and eventual husband. Gu Yue worried deeply during his disappearance, searched for him through Spirit Pagoda influence and fierce beasts, later confessed to him, and became his wife. 127 443 461
- Na'er — Her separated incarnation. The two share a bond as manifestations of the Silver Dragon King and searched for Tang Wulin together during his absence. 434 461
- Di Tian — Loyal subordinate and informant who briefed Gu Yue on the human world after her awakening. 461
- Leng Yaozhu — Gu Yue’s teacher, Sky Phoenix Douluo, and a senior figure within the Spirit Pagoda. Their relationship remains affectionate despite Gu Yue’s awkwardness over Yaozhu’s relationship with Tang Wulin. 256 270
