Awakening and Development

Martial Souls are awakened when children reach six years old. At Aolai City's Red Mountain Soul Master Academy, an awakening Spirit Master activates an array with Martial Soul Possession and soul power, drawing out the child's Martial Soul. 1

Tang Wulin originally expects to awaken ordinary Blue Silver Grass with only Rank 3 Innate Soul Power. Instead, the Supreme Check-in System grants him Innate Full Soul Power and the Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul. 1 2

A Martial Soul's initial appearance can be misleading. Tang Wulin first tells his father that he awakened Blue Silver Grass, while his certificate classifies it as “Blue Silver Grass (suspected Blue Silver Emperor).” The Spirit Pagoda immediately recognizes the value of his Innate Full Soul Power and attempts to recruit him. 2
