Because Nüwa and Xuan Chen's Zichen Dao Sect trained disciples ahead of time and forged independent paths, the Heavenly Dao frequently viewed them as "variables" and attempted to correct or suppress them through heart demon tribulations, chaos astral winds, and binding processes upon sainthood 66 82 102.

Following the creation of humanity and the intervention of Xuan Chen—who utilized Heavenly Dao Exemption Tokens and later burnt his origin to tear apart the rule barrier using the Great Dao Preaching System—the independent wills of all beings in the Primordial World were successfully awakened 102 138 139. Facing a unified anti-Heavenly Dao alliance and the combined will of all living beings, the Heavenly Dao conceded its overreach, altered its rules to remove fate control, and reached an ultimate agreement with Xuan Chen 140 232. It relinquished absolute control to become the loyal executor of rules, coexisting with Xuan Chen (the Great Dao Guardian) to protect the Primordial World's fundamental order 232.
