This new energy blossomed deep within his consciousness, transforming into a brilliant halo.
It illuminated the surrounding void, like the brightest star in the night sky.
Lin Du slowly opened his eyes, his entire body brimming with surging power, as though the whole world lay within his grasp.
He gently raised a hand, and with a slight movement of his fingertips, the air began to flow with his motions.
It gathered into a vortex of power, invisible to the naked eye yet undeniably real.
A new magical skill—Time-Space Control—was born in his hands.
This fused ability was not merely a simple command over time.
It also possessed a mysterious power that could touch the soul, trapping others in cycles of emotion at certain moments.
Or causing certain memories to linger like shadows, echoing again and again.
All kinds of possibilities surfaced in Lin Du's mind.
For instance, at a critical moment in battle, he could imprison an opponent's mind in fear and seize the initiative for victory.
All of this made him realize that he was standing at an entirely new starting point.
Ahead lay an unknown and vast world, waiting for him to explore and conquer.
"The collision of time and the mind is truly fascinating." A smile curled across Lin Du's lips, excitement gleaming in his eyes.
"This is an unprecedented power. It has opened the door to limitless possibilities for me."
He did not stop, continuing his exploration as he tried to merge the Time Stone and the Space Stone into one.
This fusion was even more complex than before. The two powers seemed naturally opposed, resisting each other's approach.
But through Lin Du's unrelenting efforts, they gradually found a point of balance where they could coexist, slowly intertwining and adapting to one another.
In the end, an unprecedented surge of energy flooded in, thrusting him into the very center of the universe and making him the focus of all existence.
"What is this...?" Lin Du sensed the world around him suddenly twist, as though he had stepped into a completely unfamiliar dimension.
Within this dimension, the flow of time and the structure of space became playthings at his fingertips. A single thought could rewrite the laws of reality.
To test this newly acquired power.
He lightly waved an arm, and time within the room instantly froze. Everything fell silent, and even the air seemed to stop moving.
With another wave, a crack split open in the air, like a gateway to the unknown.
He strode through the rift, and before him unfolded an independent world shaped by his will.
There were no rules here, no boundaries. He could alter the environment however he wished.
He could create life, even any rare treasure his imagination could conceive.
"Here, I am like a god of creation."
Lin Du clenched his fists, power surging within him like a tidal wave. The secrets of the entire universe were within his grasp.
Lin Du waved a hand, and the mysterious independent space vanished at once. Time around him seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as it resumed its usual flow.
He sat back down by the window. The three stones clenched in his hand gleamed enticingly beneath the sunlight, as though they hid endless secrets.
Meanwhile, in the center of a dark laboratory elsewhere, Loki stood alone and proud.
His eyes were like wolves in the night, glinting with malicious light.
The room was so quiet that only the faint hum of instruments and the threadlike crackle of electricity could be heard, creating an overwhelmingly oppressive atmosphere.
His gaze was as cold and sharp as a blade as it pierced the two men kneeling at his feet—Hawkeye Clinton and Doctor Selvig.
He calculated the full-scale assault he was about to launch against S.H.I.E.L.D., vowing to reclaim the treasures that had always belonged to him.
"Begin, Clinton," Loki said, his voice as cold as ice.
"I want to know everything about S.H.I.E.L.D., from its internal structure to its deepest secrets. Leave out no detail."
Clinton nodded slightly, his expression blank. Like a precise recording device, he began to speak without pause.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters is hidden within a heavily guarded skyscraper in the center of New York City. The top floor is their heart—the main control room."
"It is equipped with the world's most advanced defense systems, and is nearly impregnable."
"As for the first underground level, that is their armory. It stores tens of thousands of high-tech weapons, each one capable of changing the course of a battlefield."
Loki listened with full attention. Every word was like a carefully crafted work of art, leaving a deep imprint in his mind.
"Mm, not bad," he muttered, smacking his lips in satisfaction.
With such detailed intelligence in hand, dealing with Nick would be a piece of cake.
But at that moment, Doctor Selvig interrupted his thoughts in a grave tone.
"Loki, even if you possess all this information, if you want to carry out your plan successfully,"
"there is still one major obstacle in your way—the Sorcerer Supreme named Lin Du."
Lin Du?
The Sorcerer Supreme?
What kind of joke was this?
Even though he had never set foot on Blue Star, he had heard that the title of Sorcerer Supreme belonged to the Ancient One.
But even if Lin Du was the Sorcerer Supreme, so what?
The ending had already been decided. There was no escape.
Loki's face darkened abruptly, his teeth grinding together.
"Lin Du... damned Lin Du! If I had any way to deal with him, I would have gotten rid of him long ago!"
The doctor continued, "Lin Du, guardian of Kamar-Taj, is rumored to have defeated Dormammu and preserved the peace of the Hong Kong Sanctum."
"More importantly, he possesses the Time Stone."
"Nick previously tried to recruit Lin Du into S.H.I.E.L.D., but was turned away."
"And this time, he came specifically to help S.H.I.E.L.D. deal with the chaos caused by the Cosmic Cube."
Upon hearing the doctor's explanation, a greedy glint flashed in Loki's eyes. He pondered for a moment before slowly speaking.
"Three stones... that is power people can only dream of."
Hawkeye added from the side, his voice somewhat mechanical, "Not to mention that Lin Du is the leader of many sorcerers."
"His presence is like an impregnable wall, making him difficult for any enemy to shake."
Loki's gaze instantly turned sharp, and a cold smile tugged at his lips. "Even so, I have plenty of ways to deal with him."
"Though the Scepter is no longer in my hands, do not forget that manipulating hearts and minds is something I do with ease."
Just then, hurried footsteps sounded outside the laboratory door.
A group of people deeply influenced by Loki rushed inside, fanaticism and loyalty burning in their eyes.
Loki glanced at them and gave his order in an icy tone. "Attack the Sanctum in New York. Make the guards there fall apart."
Without the slightest hesitation, they all nodded in obedience, then turned and hurried away.
Loki watched their retreating backs, an insidious smile curling across his lips.
