Although Kaecilius had been crippled by Li Wei, his remnants' fanatical faith in the Dark Dimension had not been extinguished. Using fragments of ritual knowledge Kaecilius had leaked before his defeat, along with aid obtained from other worshippers of the Dark Dimension, they ultimately succeeded in opening a breach to the Dark Dimension within the Hong Kong Sanctum!

Purple energy that warped reality spread from the Sanctum like a plague, corroding Hong Kong's streets and districts. The sky was shrouded by an eerie purple vortex, while Dormammu's whispers, filled with greed and destructive will, echoed within every living being's mind.

Ancient One, Mordo, and the Kamar-Taj sorcerers fought desperately, but the Dark Dimension's power was far too vast. Reality itself was collapsing, and their defenses were being driven back step by step.

At that critical moment, Strange stepped forward. His gaze was sharp and resolute. His hands still trembled, but the magical energy surging around him was more condensed than ever before. Rather than panicking as he had in the original timeline, he rapidly calculated in his mind.

"We have to stop him! But our power can't confront a dimensional lord head-on..." Mordo's face was pale.

"Master Ancient One." Strange looked at Ancient One, who was maintaining the barrier with all her strength, blood already seeping from the corner of her mouth. "Please give me the Eye of Agamotto."

Ancient One looked deeply into his eyes. What she saw there was no longer the desperate demand of someone in despair, but calm responsibility and resolve. Without hesitation, she removed the Eye of Agamotto from around her neck and tossed it to Strange.

"Use it carefully, Strange. The weight of time is beyond your imagination."

Strange caught the artifact containing boundless power and took a deep breath. He did not show the awkwardness or fear he had when first wielding it in the original timeline. Thanks to Li Wei's repeated lessons about "the bigger picture" and "will," as well as his own prematurely awakened ability to cast through thought, he understood far more quickly how to communicate with the Time Stone.

He drew a circle with his Sling Ring and charged directly into the area consumed by the Dark Dimension, facing the enormous face made of Dormammu's consciousness that filled his entire field of view.

"Dormammu!" Strange's voice was amplified by magic, piercing through the barriers between dimensions. "I've come to bargain!"

Variable One: A More Efficient Time Loop.

In the original timeline, Strange's initial Time Loop had been somewhat crude, requiring him to die many times before he gradually mastered it. But now, with stronger mental control and a more precise understanding of energy—forced out of him by Li Wei—his very first Time Loop was more stable and more precise in scope.

He firmly locked the loop within the core area where he directly interacted with Dormammu's consciousness, avoiding unnecessary energy expenditure and further interference with the real world. Every time Dormammu killed him, he reset more quickly, while beginning to test different "negotiation" strategies and wording within the loop in search of the most effective opening.

Variable Two: Li Wei's Role—the Observer of Dimensional Structures.

So, where was Li Wei?

He had not joined the frontal defense. When the Hong Kong Sanctum fell into crisis, he had already foreseen this through the Crimson Empress's surveillance and his own Time Perception. He quietly appeared at the edge of the battlefield, in a relatively safe position where he could clearly observe the dimensional rift.

His purpose was not to help Strange, nor was it to save Hong Kong. His objective was [research].

He activated [Time Perception] and [Time-Source Intuition], analyzing at full capacity the ripples of laws produced when Dark Dimension energy collided with the real world.

He recorded every detail of reality's structure being eroded, then forcibly repaired by the Time Stone.

He analyzed the essence of Dormammu's power—it was a pure, all-consuming "existential" corrosion, forming a perfect contrast with the "possibility" and "order" represented by the Time Stone.

He even took the risk of splitting off a thread of telekinesis, cautiously "touching" a wisp of scattered dark energy. He sensed the maddening whispers and pure void within it, then immediately purified it with the Vishanti's sacred energy and analyzed its composition.

[ Ding! High-dimensional dark energy sample detected... Analyzing... Energy properties: existential erasure, reality distortion, consciousness contamination... 97.8% divergence from known energy systems... Beginning construction of a Dark Dimension energy model... ] [ Warning! Attention from a high-order consciousness detected! Immediate cessation of deep probing is recommended! ]

Li Wei immediately concealed his presence, but a satisfied smile lingered on his lips. Enough. This data was crucial to his understanding of the multiverse's "opposite side." He even vaguely sensed that this ultimate "darkness" and "void" might possess some profound relationship of opposing unity with the "possibility" and "creation" he had sensed within the Time Stone.

Variable Three: Strange's "Trump Card" and Li Wei's "Approval" (?)

The loop continued. Dormammu was enraged by the endless repetition, but Strange's will remained firm. During the intervals between loops, he even used temporal acceleration to briefly repair damaged buildings and save several trapped civilians—putting into practice the belief in "protection" he had only just grasped.

At last, after Dormammu tore Strange apart once more, Strange did not immediately resume the negotiation upon resetting. Instead, he did something unexpected—using the Time Loop's "safe zone" to forcibly extract an extremely tiny wisp of scattered Dark Dimension energy and seal it inside a temporarily constructed magical vial.

Then, in the next loop, he held up that vial glowing with ominous purple light and said to Dormammu, "I can keep looping forever, Dormammu. And with every loop, I can steal a trace of your power. Perhaps it's insignificant, but what about after ten thousand loops? A million? Will your power weaken because of it? And will I... come to understand you better?"

This was not the mutual-destruction threat from the original timeline, but a more cunning and invasive threat of "parasitism"!

For the first time, Dormammu's vast consciousness showed an obvious pause and... hesitation. It did not fear death, because it was eternal itself. But it loathed the possibility of having its power stolen by a "weak" being and gradually being "understood"! That struck at some fundamental taboo of its existence as a dimensional lord.

"...Leave this place! Vermin! Never set foot in my domain again!" Dormammu unleashed a deafening roar, filled with disgust and a trace of... wariness that was difficult to detect.

The Dark Dimension's corruption receded like a tide, and the sky returned to clarity.

Strange collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat and severely mentally exhausted, but a victorious smile rested on his face. He had done it, in his own way.

In the distance, Li Wei put away his observation equipment. Looking toward Strange, he showed a rare expression that was almost one of "approval."

"Knowing how to use the rules, even using the opponent's own power as a bargaining chip... Looks like I didn't teach him that bit about 'the bigger picture' for nothing." He murmured to himself. "That quick wit and ruthlessness of his do have a bit of... our Ravagers' style."

He did not reveal himself, simply opening a portal and leaving. Strange no longer needed his "guidance." The future Sorcerer Supreme had already set foot upon his own path. And Li Wei, carrying valuable research data on the Dark Dimension, returned to his base in satisfaction.

Because of Li Wei's intervention, this crisis had produced a more mature and tactically flexible Strange far earlier than before, while also granting Li Wei critical insight into the power of opposing dimensions. Everything was moving in a direction favorable to him.
