That amount would be enough to give him a powerful starting point in Psychic Force without causing the crystal to immediately collapse or provoke an overly violent reaction. The extracted energy would be transferred into a special container he had prepared in advance using spatial expansion techniques, such as a treated gemstone.

Step four: Slip away like a cicada shedding its shell. Once the extraction was complete, he would immediately teleport away without leaving a trace. He would allow the world's plot to broadly follow its original trajectory until Andrew and the others discovered the somewhat "weakened" crystal. This would minimize the world rejection reaction. Contingency plan for Andrew's loss of control: If a confrontation with the rampaging Andrew ultimately proved unavoidable, Li Wei had no intention of fighting him head-on. His advantage lay in the diversity of his abilities. Mirror Dimension exile: Drag Andrew into the Mirror Dimension. Then he locked himself in his apartment and began carefully crafting the [Psychic Protection Talisman] and [Energy Siphon Array Disk] by combining alchemy and enchantment.

The talisman was fashioned into an inconspicuous black ring, though layer upon layer of protective runes had been inscribed within it using Psychic Force. The array disk was a palm-sized metal disc etched with an immensely complex composite magic circle, with a Voidspace Stone embedded at its center for temporarily storing energy. The process took nearly a week, and he failed several times along the way, wasting quite a few precious materials. But when the finished products were finally complete, and he felt the solid protective intent emanating from the ring and the exquisite energy-guidance effect flowing through the array disk, Li Wei felt it had all been worth it.

Using the remaining materials, he also refined several mana-infused "flashbangs" and "smoke bombs" for emergencies. Everything was ready. Li Wei stood in the center of his apartment, adjusted his breathing, and brought himself to peak condition. He put on the protective ring and gripped the siphon array disk as magic power and the Astral Psychic Force he had begun cultivating—the byproduct of the visualization technique—slowly flowed through his body.

A brilliant azure beam enveloped Li Wei, and his figure instantly vanished from the apartment. The next moment, he appeared in a damp, shadowy forest. Not far away, the entrance to an underground cave, half-concealed by weeds and wooden boards, faintly radiated a pure psychic energy fluctuation that made one's heart tremble. Li Wei's gaze sharpened. Like the most professional of thieves, he silently slipped into the cave. His Psychic Force plundering operation had officially begun!
