Sahara Desert.
The scorching sun hung high in the cloudless sky, its fifty-degree heat pouring down onto the earth.
There was no sign of human life anywhere around, not even the slightest trace of human habitation.
The fierce wind raged, carrying the ever-present yellow sand as it drifted freely through the air.
Winding dunes stretched on endlessly like a boundless maze, enough to make anyone lose their bearings.
Su Zheng picked up the large iron slab he had prepared, a full square meter in size, and placed it on the ground.
Then he stepped onto it.
The iron slab carried Su Zheng into the air. It did not fly very high, but it was high enough for him to see everything clearly.
Su Zheng controlled the slab and flew quickly in the direction he sensed.
An hour later.
Drenched in sweat, Su Zheng finally reached his destination.
"Damn this weather."
After taking a sip of water, Su Zheng wiped the sweat from his forehead, rested for a moment, then strode forward.
This was a camp, one of the Ten Rings' bases in the Sahara Desert.
It was also where the Ten Rings had kidnapped Tony.
They had dug countless trenches throughout this stretch of desert. The trenches were especially long and interconnected in every direction.
Not only that, the trenches were stocked with all kinds of weapons—automatic rifles, rocket launchers, Gatlings, machine guns, artillery shells, and more!
Many soldiers holding rifles were stationed in the trenches. Some were playing cards, some were cleaning their weapons, and some were bragging.
There were not only many people in the trenches; there were also plenty of guards posted out in the desert.
They were much more serious, holding weapons as they vigilantly watched the surrounding area.
Every one of them wore yellow camouflage uniforms, practically blending into the environment around them.
A group of three patrolling soldiers quickly spotted Su Zheng swaggering toward them.
"Sino ka?"
"Dumara diri, o kaya papaputukon ko."
"@#$^&% !$#"
What language was that? Why could he not understand a single word?
He had no idea what those three men were shouting.
More than a dozen people emerged from the trenches, all raising their weapons at Su Zheng. Their black gun barrels glinted with a cold sheen beneath the sun.
"नों सोर? नों बेयाव मा खालामदों?"
"नों गोमो बिगुर गोनां मोख्रा।"
"..."
They said a whole bunch of things, but Su Zheng still could not understand any of it.
And they had obviously switched to another language!
Were there really people from so many countries here? And all speaking such obscure languages?
Su Zheng said, "What the hell are you babbling about? Put down your weapons and get on your knees!"
Seeing that they could not communicate with Su Zheng, the Ten Rings soldiers could not help feeling irritated. A flicker of anger flashed through their eyes.
And this man actually dared to walk over so brazenly. He clearly had no regard for them at all.
Without hesitation, everyone opened fire on Su Zheng.
They were brutal kidnappers. Why would they care about such things? Who cared who he was?
Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang...
Countless golden bullets shot toward Su Zheng, and the deafening sounds echoed across the silent desert.
The bullets tore through the air, sending ripples through space.
Every bullet stopped more than twenty centimeters in front of Su Zheng.
The bullets slowly spun in midair.
It was as though an invisible wall had blocked their path.
All the Ten Rings soldiers were stunned by the sight. Fear appeared in their eyes, and their faces went blank.
At that moment, they all fell silent, standing frozen in place.
One soldier unconsciously took a small step back, a physical reaction born from the instinct of fear.
Su Zheng raised his right hand and waved it forward.
Several hundred bullets shot back at extreme speed.
The bullets tore through the air and flew toward the people who had fired them.
As though fitted with silencers, the bullets harvested human lives without a sound.
Su Zheng's aim was poor, but he had plenty of bullets!
Every Ten Rings member had seven or eight bullet holes in their body. Blood slowly flowed from their wounds, quickly staining the yellow sand red.
More than a dozen soldiers fell stiffly to the ground, as though they had simply fallen asleep.
Su Zheng slowly walked into the trenches. They were fairly wide, over two meters across and more than a meter deep, branching in all directions.
The gunfire from before quickly attracted the other soldiers.
They rushed over from every direction.
At an intersection in the trenches, a soldier wearing a yellow headscarf and carrying an AK-47 charged over. Fierceness filled his eyes as he viciously pulled the trigger.
Bang bang bang bang...
Deadly flames burst from the muzzle.
Su Zheng glanced at him, and more than twenty bullets floated quietly in front of him.
One of the bullets suddenly shot back.
Bang!
The bullet struck the soldier right in the neck.
He grabbed his neck with both hands as large amounts of crimson blood flowed through the gaps between his fingers.
Despair and darkness filled his eyes. No one knew what he was thinking as he silently collapsed.
Su Zheng frowned slightly. He had clearly aimed for the head.
Then he wandered through the trenches as though he were on an outing, strolling along without a care.
Although he did not know where the cave holding Tony was, he simply headed wherever there were more people.
That was how he did it in the game.
Throughout the winding trenches stretching for a kilometer, gunfire and cries of battle rang out without end.
Bang bang bang bang bang...
"He's here! He's right here!"
"Kill him!"
"He's the devil!!!"
"He's God's messenger, here to punish us."
In the middle of this network of trenches was a cave entrance. The inside branched in all directions as well, and the soldiers slept there at night because it was cooler.
Inside one of the caves.
Tony and Ethan were there.
Tony's eyes carried his usual unruly arrogance. Though he was wearing a paint-stained short-sleeved shirt, it could not conceal his proud expression.
A blue-glowing cylinder was embedded in his chest, clearly visible even beneath his clothes.
With Ethan's help, he was putting on a suit of armor made from steel. It was covered in welding marks, and the silver-white metal plates gleamed with an icy light.
Ethan let out a sigh of relief and said, "It's finally on. It just needs ten minutes to charge."
At that moment, Tony was covered from head to toe in a crude version of the Iron Suit, except for his head.
Just then.
Dense gunfire erupted outside.
Bang bang bang bang...
Confusion appeared in Tony's eyes as he said, "What's going on?"
"Why does it sound like a war broke out outside?"
He had always been worried that the kidnappers would discover he was building an Iron Suit rather than a Jericho Missile.
While putting it on earlier, he had been on edge the entire time.
But now, things seemed different from what he had expected.
The kidnappers seemed to be fighting someone else.
Could that dense gunfire mean the military had arrived?
Were hundreds of fully armed soldiers attacking the kidnappers?
With a trace of confidence in his eyes, Tony said arrogantly, "Forget it. It doesn't matter."
"Once my Iron Suit is fully charged, I'll beat them until they piss themselves."
Soon, ten minutes passed.
The gunfire outside also stopped.
Wearing the Iron Suit, Tony smashed through the iron door imprisoning them with a single punch.
He strode out, the one-ton suit of armor striking the ground with deep, rumbling booms.
Ethan hid behind Tony, hunched over as he cautiously watched the surroundings.
But strangely, not a single soldier came looking for them.
It was as though there were no living people in the entire cave besides the two of them.
The deep cave was eerily quiet.
But they soon saw light ahead.
Through the two transparent panes in his faceplate, Tony saw the scene before him clearly.
He froze on the spot, his pupils suddenly contracting as utter disbelief filled his eyes.
