Xiang Yi initially passed over Guiguzi in the Hero Pool because his 150-point cost was too high for the opening stage, despite recognizing him as a strategic-level asset capable of group camouflage, battlefield vision, and command support 5. After accumulating sufficient resources, Xiang Yi summoned him as his second Hero to safeguard the Xiang family from external surveillance and attack 11 16.

Upon arrival, Guiguzi immediately established the Breath of Returning Ruins, a temporary barrier that sealed sound and muddled perception within a small area. He then attempted to extend that protection across the Xiang family villa through Mystic Subtlety Filling Heaven, warning Xiang Yi that maintaining a large-scale cognitive-disruption field required the latter’s mental link and could damage his foundation 16.
