How could I gain ten thousand great mansions, to shelter every poor scholar beneath the heavens and bring smiles to all their faces?

The verses above were merely one percent of all the poems written by Li Bai and Du Fu.

For every line of poetry Du Fu wrote for the two of them, Li Bai's strength would increase by a measure.
