"The first realm: Hearing the Dao."
As the Dao Ancestor wrote, he said, "First sensing the breath is like a blind man seeing light."
"One may draw qi into the body, prolonging life and increasing longevity."
Xu Changqing understood at once.
So-called Hearing the Dao was the Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment of later generations.
Sensing spiritual qi, drawing qi into the body.
Tempering the flesh, prolonging life and increasing longevity.
He had already reached the end of this realm.
That was why he had felt as though he could touch it, yet could not push it open.
"The second realm: Entering the Dao."
The Dao Ancestor continued, "Dao Resonance enters the body, and the constitution transforms."
"Once one reaches this step, one can wield techniques of Dao Resonance."
"In terms of methods, it is no longer mere use of spiritual power."
"Most of the techniques those disciples displayed during the day were methods at the Entering the Dao level."
Xu Changqing fell into thought.
"The third realm: Dao Enlightenment."
"From among the myriad Daos, choose one and comprehend it, condensing a 'Dao Heart.'"
"From then on, techniques carry 'Dao Intent,' and their power undergoes a qualitative transformation."
"Only upon reaching this step does one truly set foot upon a path belonging solely to oneself."
"The fourth realm: Dao Mastery."
"Grasp the embryonic form of a complete authority. One may establish a sect and found a school; when words are spoken, the law follows."
"The fifth realm: Dao Union."
"Dao and self become one, transcending life and death!"
After speaking, the Dao Ancestor looked at Xu Changqing again. "You are currently at the Hearing the Dao stage, and the end of Hearing the Dao is the threshold of Entering the Dao."
"If you wish to Enter the Dao, there is
