Background
Jiang Ruoyao is the daughter of the Primordial Divine Lord and was raised and taught by Xia Yun, who repeatedly protected her during earlier conflicts with the Heaven-Stealing Organization. Xia Yun once intended to self-destruct against a Heaven-Stealing Great Emperor to save Jiang Ruoyao when she was only a Great Sage. 316 455
Before meeting Hua Yunfei, Jiang Ruoyao suffered from a forbidden bloodline curse. Black energy and a trace of Emperor Blood would erupt within her body, causing severe pain; she suppressed relapses with crimson pills and refused outside interference. 239 240
As the Primordial Divine Territory’s Holy Maiden, she was sent to assess Hua Yunfei as a potential Emperor-level talent. Their meeting led to a cooperative relationship, and she later adopted ruthless ambush tactics, advocating concealed cultivation, feigned weakness, destruction of evidence, and erasure of karma after battle. 238 240 316
During the Emperor’s Road conflicts, Jiang Ruoyao fought the Heaven-Stealing Organization and searched unsuccessfully for the missing Primordial Sacred Sword, the inherited Emperor Armament that had accompanied her for over 3,000 years. She was subsequently believed dead after her life tablet shattered, but later returned from a place that severed outside connections. 294 399
After integrating the Eternal Immortal Body, Jiang Ruoyao acquired a more transcendent and sacred aura. Her later cultivation surge and unstable transformations culminated in her departure to an ancient divine hall, where accepting her true self elevated her to the Immortal Emperor Realm. 454 1273 1274
Appearance
Jiang Ruoyao is repeatedly described as an exceptionally beautiful, ethereal woman with snow-white skin, a graceful figure, and a refined aura. Her usual appearance includes long black hair and a green dress. 352 527
- Normal attire — A green dress, black hair, and a composed smile. 352 517
- Earlier attire — She commonly wore blue dresses before her departure; blood-red dresses were associated with imminent killing. 1715
- Slaughter Intent Form — Her eyes, hair, and dress turn red, while the Crimson Slaughter Sword manifests in her hand. 523 1273
- Eternal Immortal Body — Integration grants her a more sacred, otherworldly presence. 454
- Unstable state — Her pupils and hair colors can shift rapidly, sometimes accompanied by scarlet killing intent and flashes of golden light. 1273 1323
Personality
Jiang Ruoyao is naturally outgoing and converses easily with strangers, often teasing Hua Yunfei with confidence. She nevertheless maintains clear boundaries with men, refusing even a handshake on the grounds that men and women should not touch. 249 517
In battle, she is cold, decisive, and often merciless. She readily kills enemies she judges to be threats, humiliates those who provoke her, and is willing to use torture, ambushes, or overwhelming force to secure victory. 266 352 353
Despite her ruthlessness, she is protective of allies and civilians under her care. She prevented her team from joining an unwinnable battle, healed King Yu after finding him severely wounded, and sought to save Hua Yunfei even while claiming that only she had the right to kill him. 529 1756 1549
Her later transformation leaves her more emotionally unstable, aloof, and unpredictable. Memories tied to the Undying God Vein and the Linglong Hundred Immortal Dress can push her toward losing control, though she continues to resist external attempts to manipulate her emotions. 1273 1829 1830
