Among the many deities, when it came to conflicts between their authorities, Bane's conflict with the newly born God of Dominion was undoubtedly the most severe.

Bane's Tyranny Authority was clearly subordinate to Dominion.

Although Bane also held the Divine Offices of Hatred and Fear, neither of these powers was dominant.

Otherwise, Bane would have been called the God of Hatred or the God of Fear.

In the silvery Astral Realm.

Bane also noticed the gods' gazes sweeping over him again and again.

The gods' expressions varied. Most of the deities of the Neutral Alignment were expressionless, lost in thought. But the vast majority looked at Bane with a trace of glee.

The gods of the Good Alignment, however, could barely contain their schadenfreude when they looked at Bane. Some even let the corners of their mouths curl into smiles, making no effort to hide how pleased they were to see him in trouble.

Lathander, Helm, and Mystra—deities who had terrible relations with Bane and were immensely powerful in their own right—were the most obvious. Their smiles were so pronounced that they might as well have openly mocked him.

When Bane looked toward Malar and Mask, deities closely tied to him who had even formed an Alliance with him and shared the Evil Alignment, they both edged back slightly. Their gazes drifted toward the Astral Realm, as if the matter had nothing to do with them.

The deities of the Evil Alignment were no fools. After a period of growth, the newly born God of Dominion would be all but guaranteed to overwhelm Bane. And with their conflicting authorities, the Church of the God of Dominion would almost certainly launch a Faith War.

As for whether Bane's Believers could win that war, the deities of the Evil Alignment were pessimistic.
