Green's enormous dragon body sprawled across a golden throne floating in the sky as he looked down at the Quasi-Gods and Demigods who had come to pledge themselves to him.
Three figures stood before his dragon form.
There weren't nearly as many Demigods volunteering to join the Ruling Church as one might have expected, and every one of them belonged to the Neutral Alignment.
The reason for this was closely tied to the circumstances facing Demigods of the various alignments across the entire Prime Material Plane.
First were the Demigods of the Lawful and Good Alignments. During their ascension to godhood, these Demigods were often tested by Deities of the same alignment.
If they passed, those Demigods of the Lawful Good Alignment would most likely become Subordinate Deities to a Greater Divine Power of the corresponding alignment.
Simply put, before ascending to godhood, Demigods of the Lawful and Good Alignments were often recruited by Deities of their own alignment.
As a result, there actually weren't many Demigods of the Lawful and Good Alignments.
Next came the Demigods of the Evil and Chaotic Alignments.
Their circumstances were far worse than those of Demigods of the Lawful and Good Alignments.
Demigods of the Good and Lawful Alignments at least faced no resistance when spreading their faith.
But the first problem Demigods of the Evil and Chaotic Alignments encountered while preaching was the crusade against them by Deities of the Lawful and Good Alignments.
Demigods of the Chaotic Evil Alignment, by the very nature of their doctrines, were likely to bring torment, slaughter, and death.
Whenever that happened, the Church of Tyr, the God of Justice, would immediately launch a crusade against them.
Paladins who believed in absolute goodness would strike at these Demigods with savage fury,
