Tai looked at the Dark Space that had appeared below, pierced open by the beam.
"UlforceVeedramon, let's go!"

The two flew straight down. They passed through the opening, and a dark, empty space spread out before them.
Fragments of different colors floated through the darkness. The reds and greens against the black made the space feel strangely hollow.
Intense resentment filled the entire space. Tai and UlforceVeedramon felt deeply uncomfortable the moment they entered.
"Ah... uh..."
A low, eerie voice echoed through the Dark Space.
Tai could tell the voice was trying to say something.
"Come out! What's the point of hiding now?" Tai shouted into the darkness.
"That's right, Tai. I am a mass of resentment born from grievances that could never be heard. You may call me the Vile Demon Lord!" a hoarse voice answered.
An enormous polyhedron slowly emerged from the darkness before Tai and UlforceVeedramon.
The polyhedron extended and changed shape, sending out claws attached to double-helix structures.
At its very top appeared a Digital Beast with a build resembling Vampire Beast. Its arms looked stitched together with zippers, pipes ran from its lower body, and it wore a beaked helmet with pale hair showing on either side. Its hands bore sharp red nails.
The events in the Dark Space were projected across the sky of the Human World.
"Big brother!" Kari spotted Tai in the Dark Space at once.
"Tai!" Izzy saw him too and cried out.
Every human and Digital Beast there stared tensely at the sky.
