Looking at the analysis on the Chip's display, Green drew a conclusion from the results so far.

"These black monsters are exceptionally good at surviving and escaping. Others at the same level would struggle to kill them or even hurt them, and they can escape from higher-level beings too! But they aren't much of a threat overall. While fused with their element, the only attacks they can launch are hypnotic illusions. Breaking that fusion consumes a great deal of energy and leaves them unable to cast Sorcery. Once the transition is complete, they can only attack physically!"

Over the following days, Green took the corpses out of his bracelet one by one. All manner of elements appeared in the laboratory as he stimulated the bodies in different ways, testing their effects on them.

"They barely react to other elements, but they're terrified of Light Element, Fire Element, and Life Force. Light Element has devastating power over these creatures and can destroy their bodily structure outright. Fire Element ignites their bodies, while Life Force acts like poison, neutralizing the elemental ability they depend on to survive and restricting their power."

Green's expression turned peculiar as he looked at the elements his experiments had revealed the black monsters feared.

"These creatures really are unlucky. You could almost say I counter them completely!" The elements they feared happened to be the very ones Green had the greatest affinity for.

Three months later, Green's laboratory was brightly lit. Inside a huge transparent glass tank, a Black Sphere darted and slammed from side to side.

Yet the seemingly fragile glass tank was extraordinarily tough.

Each time the Black Sphere struck its walls, a
