The bright light cast by the three moons silently streamed into the crevice. Combined with the quiet surroundings, it made the place seem cold and serene. Moonlight filtering through the cracks in the rocks fell to the ground, leaving dappled spots of light. Within the silver spots, strange things slowly began to emerge!
Some pale-white bugs, shaped like cylinders with blunt, rounded fronts, a pair of fang-lined mouthparts, and tiny tail filaments at their rear ends, slowly drilled out of the moonlight and began creeping toward Green and Betaya!
The frantic warnings from his soul and the faint pain he sensed had already alerted Green that something was wrong with his surroundings! But Green chose not to act rashly. His body was tucked inside the crevice between the boulders; if anyone needed to panic, it was Betaya, who was outside!
Green simply pretended to be asleep, while taking the opportunity to test Betaya!
As the bugs drew closer to Betaya, he suddenly opened his eyes, though he had seemed asleep. A glimmer of black light appeared on his enormous palm, and he slammed it down hard on the bugs.
The bugs that had emerged from the moonlight turned into silver-white specks beneath Betaya's blow.
