Under the bright blue sky, golden sunlight shone upon the earth. The ground was covered in blue-green grass, drawing in the light from the sun and growing vigorously.
Green stood beside a golden lake, his gaze fixed on an island at its center. Floating above the island were three artifacts: a bow, a longsword, and a shield.
A huge golden barrier surrounded the entire island. The hemispherical barrier covered the island, preventing all life from entering ahead of time.
This was the first target Green had pinpointed based on the information collected by the Abyssal Moss.
The three artifacts each carried the power of one of three Laws: locking, cutting, and resistance. These three Laws were already relatively obscure, but to the World Law, any Law could provide a boost.
Most importantly, the Laws contained within these three items were relatively complete. Even though the Laws themselves were not particularly powerful, their extreme completeness made up for that shortcoming.
When Green had first arrived at the edge of the golden lake, he had planned to attack the golden barrier directly and forcibly take the three items.
However, Green had detected wisps of Mystic Realm's World Power within the golden radiance.
To prevent his identity from being exposed, Green had ultimately chosen to wait patiently.
This was also the Mystic Realm's World Will's overt scheme. By using these precious artifacts to provoke conflict, it intended to make the outsiders fight one another. Those who wanted to seize the precious artifacts would inevitably clash, ultimately weakening the power of the invading lifeforms through mutual slaughter.
Those wisps of World Power were precisely what the World Will had specially arranged to observe whether the number of outsiders competing for the artifacts had reached a certain threshold.
