"Ronas, you clearly said you were imprisoned in the Second-Layer Spacetime Prison. So how did you get here?" Noticing an obvious hole in Ronas's story, Green eyed him warily. His question was laced with deep suspicion.
Perhaps it was because of the crystal, or perhaps Ronas had other plans. After considering Green's question, Ronas seemed to have no intention of hiding anything from him. A faint smile on his face, he slowly began to explain.
"Since this is a prison, there must be plenty of us prisoners who want to escape."
"There's an extremely dangerous fellow on the Third Layer. He used his ability to destabilize space and break through the Spacetime Prison's restraints, connecting the Second and Third Layers."
"With help from us Second-Layer lifeforms, that fellow can now use his ability to send those of us who aren't as dangerous to the First Layer."
"If nothing goes wrong, in two or three Eras at most, we'll be able to fully open up the passage. Then we can figure out how to escape this prison!"
As Ronas spoke of escaping the prison, his eyes brimmed with an intense longing, like a captive lifeform glimpsing the dawn of freedom.
"Really?" Green asked at just the right moment, a hint of interest appearing on his face.
"Of course!" Ronas replied with a broad smile. "Green, your power should be no weaker than a Second-Layer lifeform's. How about joining our Prison Break Organization?" Ronas invited him to join.
Faced with Ronas's offer, Green looked troubled, then asked, "Are there any requirements for joining the Prison Break Organization? If there are too many restrictions, then forget it."
